Here is an extremely nicely restored 1977 Spitfire 1500 in British Racing Green. It is very rare to see these cars in this condition. This 45k mile, 2 owner car was owned by the original lady up until 2012. Always garage kept, it has all of its original metal, Zero Bondo.  Recently repainted its original color, and treated to a brand new leather interior and new convertible top. It also has the rare factory steel hardtop, painted along with the car. New brakes, and recently passed the rigorous DelawareState safety inspection. Everything works and it is all ready to enjoy for springtime motoring. Our price is half the cost to buy and restore a Spitfire to this level. Buy one that is all done!

 Body: 

-Restored with all original body panels. Not one ounce of bondo in this car, NONE. No evidence of any accident damage ever.

-Frame is totally solid.

-Factory Steel hardtop in excellent condition, Headliner coming loose by rear glass. Repainted when the car was done in 2013.

-Floors, this was a garage kept summer use car, No patch panels, and still has the original factory green paint, very solid car, see pics.

-Paint was redone in 2013 and has about 800 careful miles on it. It was done to a high level, a $4k job. I would say the quality is an  8.0 out of 10, nice and flat, no dirt or clear coat runs. Very light use since, so no road rash or touch-ups are present. No blisters, and no dings

-Brand new vinyl top, only put down once for these pictures. Convertible top frame in like new condition.

-Car has older Radials that are not dry rotted, but I think they need replacing as they sat for awhile and got flat spotted. I will try and get a quote on new ones.

 Mechanical:

 -This Spitfire drives like I imagine a new one would, light feel, tracks straight, toss-able, shifts great. The 1500 engine has more power than the earlier models.

-Original engine. It fires right up, idles smoothly, and is quiet.

-Original 4 speed trans shifts smoothly with new clutch assembly. Does not have electronic OD.

-Brake system all redone, New rotors, pads, master cylinder. These are not power brakes, so they do require pressure.

-Newer exhaust system sounds great.

 Interior:

 -New Leather interior, seats were totally reconditioned with new foams, very comfortable.

-New door panels.

-OEM 3 point seatbelts.

-New carpet, and rubber half mats.

-Dash has no cracks.

-All gauges and accessories work fine.

-All lights wipers, heater blower, defroster work fine.

-Newer radio works great.

-Passed the rigorous DelawareState inspection process in 2013 to qualify for antique tags.

-Trunk is highly detailed, spare tire, jack, tools tool bag, manuals, ½ quart of paint.

 Pickup or Delivery:

Will only deliver the car once paid for. You are welcome to inspect the car before the auction ends. We can help ship worldwide, and have served many foreign buyers. Vechiles are sold as is, where is. I make every attempt to fully describe the cars, and disclose known issues. Please make financing arrangements prior to bidding, as the winning bidder will be expected to provide a $500 PayPal deposit in 2 days, and pay for the balance within 7 days.

I do not accept Paypal for the balance, only the deposit. Usually, a standard Bank Wire Transfer works best, and I will supply those details after I receive your deposit. Please call if you have any questions prior to bidding.

We have shipped cars all over the world, and will make every effort to assist buyers with their shipping needs. The buyer will have direct responsibility for hiring and managing the shipping company. We will deliver cars to the Baltimore Md. port  for shipment overseas, for a $350 fee.

I do not charge any extra fees on vechile sales.  State sales tax is paid in the state you reside, when you register the car there.  If you are a PA buyer, you will pay the sales tax when you register/title the car. We can do this at a nearby title service when you come to pick up the car.  If you need a 30 day PA transit tag, they charge $45 for this at the title service.
