I am reluctantly offering this Buick for sale out of my private collection.  I purchased it in 1999 as a non-running project, and proceeded to restore it over the next few years.  I have put about 20,000 miles on the car since it's completion, and have had a ton of fun in the process.  This is a very reliable touring car, and is ready to be enjoyed right away. When I purchased the car, it had been stored since 1986, and was in need of a complete restoration.  It has been in the Arizona desert since new, and has no rust at all.  All of the sheet metal is original, and the underside is very clean, with no undercoating or rust scale.  The floors and trunk are rock-solid, with no patch panels or repairs.  This is an original Crystal Blue car, and the new paint was matched to the original color code.   The Buick has received the following repairs and improvements over the last 15 years, all of which were done by me and fully documented. Buick 350 Engine fully rebuilt 20,000 miles ago. Turbo 350 automatic also rebuilt 20,000 miles ago. Brakes completely rebuilt at the same time.  They are the factory four wheel drum set up. Convertible top hoses and lift cylinders replaced 12 years ago, and still function well. Paint refinished 10 years ago in the original Crystal Blue.  All the trim was removed, as well as the doghouse and trunk lid, and the jambs were all painted and detailed.  The paint has aged very well, and has always been washed, waxed, and garage kept. New white convertible top installed last month, along with new pads and top well.  The top frame was also detailed. Door panels replaced, along with all weatherstripping. New trunk liner and spare cover. Carpet was replaced 12 years ago. New 15 inch BF Goodrich Radial TA's, with less than 3000 miles and no age or sun damage. New turn signal assembly. Replaced the steering wheel with a correct, blue stock wheel.  It is in perfect shape, with no cracks at all. Custom hidden stereo, with a head unit in the glove box, along with a four channel amplifier mounted under the seat.  6 inch speakers mounted in the kick panels, with period chrome speaker grills.  6 x 9 speakers discreetly mounted in the top well area.  The stereo sounds great, and is almost invisible.  Original AM sonomatic is still in the dash, and the car comes with an extra set of blue kick panels if you want to return it to stock.  The system was installed about ten years ago, so it has on older model Sony head unit. Dash pad was replaced with an excellent original part.  It is completely free of cracks, and still soft. Known Issues: AC is complete, but not functional.  I had it working several years ago, but the blower motor failed and the unit eventually lost it's charge. Heater core is bypassed and will need to be replaced Rear main seal leaks. Coolant seeps from the thermostat housing.  Not enough to cause alarm, and it should be easy to re-seal. Horn does not work. Side window to top alignment could use adjustment. The windshield has had a chip in it since I bought the car.  It's never cracked, but does detract from the view. Window washer is not functional. Seat upholstery is intact and usable, but starting to show it's age. Clock does not work. Gas gauge works, but reads 1/4 tank when empty. Missing original jack.  Spare 15 inch rally wheel and tire are included. The paint is in excellent condition, but does have several blemishes and a few chips.  The front bumper has a few dings in it, and the plastic grill is cracked in several places.  All chrome is original and presentable, with age consistent with a 40 plus-year-old desert car. This car has been a major part of my identity for the last 15 years, so I really hate to let it go.  I am funding the restoration of another classic Buick, however, and would like to free up the capitol and garage space.  This car has been on several extended tours during my ownership, and has always performed admirably.  In 2007, we drove it up the west coast to attend the Buick Club of America National Meet in Seattle.  It has also been driven to the BCA National Meet in Plano, Texas, and participated in several Route 66 Arizona Fun Runs.  The car has also been featured in several magazine and catalogue shoots, including a multi-page fashion shoot for Wallpaper Magazine.  It was used last summer for a Canadian denim company's extended photo series, which was shot in the beautiful desert landscape of Southern Arizona.  The Buick is incredibly photogenic, and gets lots of attention wherever it goes. Please call or email me if you have any questions at all.  My name is Alex, and my number is 520-465-2539.  I am an active member of the Buick Club of America, and the past Director of my local chapter in Tucson.  I have sold several cars on ebay, and have 100% feedback.  I reserve the right to end the auction early, and will entertain reasonable offers over the phone or in person.  Many of my sales do close before the auction ends, so don't be shy!  If we agree on a price, I will post a buy it now and keep the transaction in ebay. I also have an original, correct full length console for this car, in case the buyer is interested in converting to bucket seats.  I will include it for an additional $100 if the winning bidder wants it.
