I’m reluctantly selling my 1977 Triumph Spitfire to help finance another restoration project of mine.  This car is so good I bought it twice – first in 2006, fixed it up mechanically, used it as a daily driver around town, and then sold it to a friend who redid the interior.  He then sold it back to me a few years later to finance his MGTD restoration, and I’ve used it for summer fun since.  It’s only had a few thousand miles put on it since I first owned it.

The car is in excellent mechanical shape, and has been driven regularly in the summer and garaged in the winter.  It starts easily and runs well with no overheating problems.  The engine has European-spec twin SU carbs and a 4-1 header – the original carb and intake manifold are included in the sale. The manual transmission is a 4-Speed without overdrive.

The body and chrome work is essentially rust-free with a redone interior, with only minor nicks and a small crack in the rear trunk lid (see picture).  The paint is not original, and is okay from 20 feet away – the car could be driven as-is or easily be repainted to complete the restoration.

In addition to the tonneau cover visible in the pictures, the car also has a like-new top (hardly ever used due to the sunny weather here in the summer) with matching cover for when top is down. The car also comes with a metal factory hardtop – this is unrestored and needs work, but is intact.
