Please note that experience shows us that the photobucket of over 100 large pixel pictures posted here are in most cases best viewed and downloaded using the very latest and most updated version of the 'Firefox' browser as some other browsers and especially older browser versions are not capable of accommodating the size of the download. Over the years our clients have overwhelmingly been appreciative of our many unaltered large pixel photos posted in our ads and our feedback has been that it is very rare that a seller will post all but the most flattering of photographs. We prefer to expose the complete roll of film taken of the car, in sometimes unflattering but natural sunlight, in order for our prospective buyers to be able to see true and reliable images of the car advertised and that is the reason for some seemingly duplicated shots. We trust you will agree.

West Coast Classics are proud to present a great barn-fresh (garage really!) find from the South-Western U.S. dry state of Arizona of a rare 1974 Alfa Romeo GTV Coupe with 77K actual miles as of 11/2012 as stated on the Arizona title!

The Alfa-Romeo GTV was a luxuriously built, high performance sports car and despite the initial resistance, the car was a huge success for Alfa-Romeo. Its stunning bodywork and Italian design by the renown and legendary Italian automobile designer, Giorgetto Giugiaro, who was named 'Car Designer of the Century' in 1999 and responsible for designing legendary cars for Alfa-Romeo, amongst others, including: Audi (80), BMW (M1, Nazca 2 Spyder, 3200CS); Bugatti (EB118, EB218); Cadillac (Sixty Special); De Tomaso (Mangusta), DeLorean (DMC-12); Ferrari (250GT, GG50); Fiat (Dino Coupe); Lamborghini (Marco Polo, Cala); Lotus (Esprit, Etna); Lancia, Maserati (Bora, Ghibli, Merak, Quattroporte, Spyder); Porsche (Tapiro concept car); Renault (19,21); Saab (6700,9000) and Volkswagen (Golf, Jetta, Passat Scirooco)! He gave the GTV its superb look at the renown Italian 'Bertone' design house and it had an instant appeal, regardless of the fact that the car was considerably more expensive than its rivals! Today these models commands a premium price and respect amongst sports car enthusiasts worldwide as a collectible classic Italian sports car, for both its timeless appearance and performance!

This is a very original and rust free dry South-Western state Arizona car and a beautiful example of a 1974 Alfa-Romeo GTV coupe with it's original 1.8L engine and with all of it's original factory specifications and options intact including original 'Rosso Amaranto' (Dark Maroon/Plum) color paint and a mostly all original Tan color seats interior! The car also boasts its original and factory correct 'Campagnolo Turbina' magnesium wheels made by 'Campagnolo' and used by Alfa Romeo on many of its cars over the years and its original spare in the trunk.

We understand that the car has been sitting for some time and although currently running and driving please note that it will need some engine work/TLC (we think maybe a valve job or a rebuild, we do not know which and we have decided not to proceed with any repairs and to sell the car as a running project). It has some very minor dings and imperfections showing for its age but very rare for these cars which are prone to rusting, this particular example has no rust or signs of any accidents. The car has it's original factory tan interior which is in very good shape throughout.

This is a rare opportunity to own a very rare and internationally desirable 1974 legendary Alfa-Romeo GTV coupe model with low actual miles - a perfect candidate for the Alfa enthusiast to completely restore or simply a great daily driver/project for any European sports car enthusiast!
