1954 Mercury Monterey, an original California rust free, accident free black sedan that has undergone a complete restoration both cosmetic and mechanically. Found in Northern California in its original state this 54 ran and drove had its original paint but needed to be brought back to its former glory. In 2006 the restoration was started and completed in 2010. Enclosed in the photos you will see the car prior to its restoration in its original UN molested shape, there are also photos of the car under its restoration progress. There is currently 765 miles on the car

The exterior of the car was completely stripped, everything was removed and it was taken to the metal and given quality two stage paint in its deep gloss black as you see it today. The body is very straight; doors, hood and trunk all align nicely. All chrome and stainless has been sent out re plated and or polished, new rubber weather striping throughout the car including window channels, and new glass.

Interior is full leather in a custom three tone to resemble the original cloth interior but with a new modern feel, over $10k spent on the interior New carpets including the finished trunk, all interior items are in excellent condition as you can see in the photos. There is An upgraded stereo in the glove box.

Mechanically the car has its original 312 cu in motor that has been completely rebuilt as well as its transmission, suspension, and braking system, front brakes have been converted to disc so this car stops very well, New tires and restored center caps.

This was a Los Angles built car on June 11 1954 and was the 92^nd of the line.
