Up for sale we have a 1972 GMC jimmy. In ’70 GMC followed Chevy in the SUV market with the Jimmy. It was offered in a 4WD as well as 2WD. The one we have for you is the hard to find 2WD. It’s done in an eye catching Rally Red with the white top and has had new interior installed. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior, interior, and driveline of the GMC, but first we would like to tell you a little about us.

Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned, operated, and own our entire inventory, no consignments, and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 50 to 60 cars at all times. We don’t have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So, that’s how we can sell for less than other dealers. We will start off with the exterior of the Jimmy. It has a straight body with good lines. The fit of the panels is good and everything is covered in the Rally Red Paint that has been buffed and polished to a deep riche shine and is accented by the White top. At the time of the resto new bumpers were installed. The grill as well as other trim looks good and it appears to have had a new windshield and weather stripping installed. The final exterior touch is the set of 20” American Racing Wheels on the corners.

Next, we will take a look at the interior of the ’72. As we said it has been redone with all new seats that are done in the red Houndstooth with the correct buckets and the mini console. The back seat also looks correct. The carpet and door panels are also new with the whole interior theme providing the perfect look to pull the exterior together. When you look at the dash it’s correct with only an upgrade to the radio.

Finally, we will take a look at the driveline of the GMC. Under the hood it is powered by a 350 V8 that is mated to an automatic trans. The engine is dressed with an Aluminum Intake, Chrome Valve Covers and breather. Also it’s been fitted with Headers and dual exhaust. This Jimmy has front disc brakes that are power and it has Power Steering as well. The floors all looks solid as well as the frame.
