Up for sale we have a very nice 1962 Chevy BelAir. When these cars came out it had all new sheet metal with a new look. It was also longer than the ’61. The one we have for you has many upgrades that set it apart from a stock ’62. It has a gorgeous look with the 18” and 20” wheels as well as having air ride and a killer interior. In the paragraphs to follow I will give a brief description of the exterior, interior, and heartbeat of the Chevy, but first I would like to tell you more about us.

Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned and operated business that owns our entire inventory, no consignments, and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 50 to 60 cars at all times. We don’t have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So, that’s how we can sell for less than other dealers. We will start off with the exterior. When you walk around this BelAir you can see that they put a lot of time and effort into making it as nice if not nicer than it was new. The fit and finish of the body panels are great with good lines. It’s covered in the Bolero Red Paint that has been buffed and polished to a deep rich shine. At the time of the restoration they installed new bumpers as well as other new chrome. All the stainless was removed, cleaned, polished, and they reinstalled. New weather stripping was also added to ensure a good fit of the doors and trunk. The final exterior touch is they 18” and 20” Coys on the corners.

Next, we will move to the interior of the ’62. When you look inside this Chevy it’s easy to see the same eye for detail. It’s all been redone in Beige Leather Interior with custom door panels and a one off headliner. The dash and steel trim is painted to match the exterior and helps make for a perfect transition between exterior and interior. As you can see by the pics it has add on A/C and when you open the glove box it has a CD Player. There was many hours spent on the fit and finish of the headliner and the door panels. The eye for detail carries over to the trunk with all custom panels as well as carpet. The controls for the air ride have been mounted to the AC unit and trimmed out with a mini console.

Finally, we will take a look at the heartbeat of the Chevy. When you look under the hood the inner fenders and firewall have been painted to match the car. The engine is a 327 V8 that has been dressed with an Aluminum Intake and Valve covers. All the brackets and engine was also painted red. It has a set of Short Headers and set of Flows to give it a good sound. The trans is a 350 Turbo and the rear end looks to be stock. The help the car stop better it has new Power Brakes with the dual Master cylinder.
