General Description:

This 2007 Subaru Legacy Outback 2.5i is extremely clean both inside and out, with very reasonable miles for the year. It features a strong 2.5L 4-cylinder boxer engine, Subaru's legendary symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system, side curtain airbags, and smooth-shifting automatic transmission with SportShift. The interior has been upgraded to that of a Legacy Outback 2.5 Limited, which includes comfort features such as heated leather seats, hidden auxiliary input, climate control, and an abundance of storage space, making this a fantastically comfortable, fun, and practical car.

This Outback, restored to original factory specifications with OEM Subaru parts, runs strong and shifts smoothly, just as you'd expect from a late-model, low-mile Subaru. Rex's Repairs:

This car was claimed as a loss due to "water damage," meaning there was no structural damage. Rex swapped out all parts that touched water, including the complete interior, wiring harness, all electronics, rear-end, engine and transmission. The car has been test driven for upwards of 100 miles and all systems are operating perfectly, just as you expect from a Certified Rexconstructed Subaru.

Rex keeps thorough documentation of all of his repairs and would be happy to provide it upon request.

Specific Defects:

This car is in overall great condition, though it does have light cosmetic wear typical of any used car. The paint is in good condition, but does have various light dings and scratches; these do not show up well in photographs, but are visible in some of the close-ups below. The interior does have light wear, primarily in the form of light 'dimples' on the center arm rest. These are the only known defects; this is a great car both mechanically and cosmetically.

Please keep in mind, however, that no used vehicle is perfect; expect some normal cosmetic and mechanical wear.

Current Condition:

The car is fully serviced with fresh oil and fluids, with great all season tires that will last through many seasons. The Subaru Boxer engine is powerful and strong, and the transmission is a smooth shifting automatic. This Legacy Outback has a valid West Virginia state inspection sticker, good through 11/14, and has a WV Reconstructed Title, ready to be transferred to and driven in any state of your choosing. The car is very fun to drive and performs just as it did before someone hurt this great-looking Outback; just like you expect from your new 2007 Subaru with just 47,845 original miles.

What is a reconstructed title?

A "Reconstructed" title is the title issued after a "salvaged" car has been repaired, inspected by a state agency, and deemed road-worthy again. Rex does not sell cars with a "Salvage" title.

Is it easy to transfer an R-title into my name?

It sure is! Reconstructed titles function just like "clean" titles.

Will insurance be more expensive?

Nope! While Rex can't speak for every insurance company, a "reconstructed" title typically has no bearing on insurance rates.

If I decide to sell the car later, will it be worth less because it is "reconstructed"?

As Kelley Blue Book notes:
A salvaged, reconstructed or otherwise "clouded" title has a permanent negative effect on the value of a vehicle. The industry rule of thumb is to deduct 20% to 40% of the Blue Book value, but salvage title vehicles really should be privately appraised on a case-by-case basis in order to determine their market value.
So, it only makes sense that a car purchased at 30% below market value should be re-sold at a similar discount.

How do I know which car is right for me?

Rex’s Answer: The ReXspection Grading Scale

Upon arrival, Rex evaluates each Subaru and assigns a ReXconstruction grade based on the quality of the car as it existed just before the damaging event. This “pre-damage” grade is “A,” "B," or “C,” based on the component condition of the various systems on the car. For example, while mileage is the best predictor of overall car wear, Rex still inspects and grades suspension, drive train, electrical, interior and exterior conditon and the overall feel of the Subaru. Factors affecting this grade include the region of origin, smoker, pet owner and any other factor that materially impacts the finished product.

Based upon this grade, Rex determines the extent of ReXtoration. Rex automatically correct all issues on an “A” vehicle and virtually all on a “B” car, but Rex will not correct small dings and cosmetic flaws on a “C.” Once you see our grade, you can then choose the right car for you. (A’s and B’s are for those who want the “new car” feel; C cars are popular as reliable work cars and cars for new drivers and college students.)
