1973 Buick Riviera Restoration Candidate or Project Car

Available today is a 1973 Buick Riviera - Vin # 4Y87U3453590. Car is complete and would be a good restoration candidate. Mileage on odometer shows 95,000 miles +/-.

Car runs and drives although it has been off the road (unregistered) since '93 or '94. It will need sorting and checking before the new owner puts it back on the road.

The body is straight with the exception of a dent in the front left fender and the right rear quarter panel (both easy fixes). Car has all of the chrome trim including the stainless rocker covers and lower quarter trim. The car has all good glass - windows go up and down.

The car is not rust free although it is much better then most unrestored Rivs of the same vintage. She appears to be very complete and unmolested. The motor runs with no smoke, no knocks (some oil leaks), although the carb could use rebuilding. The motor looks to be very original and unmolested.

The tranny shifts forward and reverse with no hesitation, but the mechanic was not able to drive it down the road due to lack of registration. The car comes with a transferable CT. clear title.

The roof is discolored (surface rust) due to the vinyl top being removed. Car has a new battery and new power steering high pressure line (no leaks).

The interior is complete and in pretty good shape for its age. The drivers seat has a seam coming undone. The backseat also has a seam coming undone and the drivers door armrest has a tear that was taped. All in all, the car would make a great candidate for a restoration or a great father/son weekend project.

Obviously, this car is being sold in "as is" and "where is" condition. Please ask questions or have it inspected personally so that there are no misunderstandings.

Take advantage of proxy bidding: Don't loose the vehicle at the last minute! There have been many people who have lost bids in the past because they were not familiar with proxy bidding. When you bid, bid the maximum amount that you are willing to spend on the vehicle. Each time someone bids higher than your last bid, eBay will automatically increment your bid by the minimum bid amount until it reaches your maximum. Don't get stuck loosing a good deal!
