This super rare and gorgeous 1948 Oldsmobile futuramic 98 convertible has undergone an extensive restoration from top to bottom. The concept behind this build was to keep the original classic lines and timeless looks of the car inside and out yet update the drive train with more modern and dependable components so to have a drive anywhere worry free convertible. The original front suspension was removed and replaced with a new Heidt's independent front suspension which also consist of power rack and pinion steering and power disc brakes. The original drivetrain was also updated with a freshly built 455 Oldsmobile V8 backed by a turbo 400 automatic transmission. The rear axle is a Currie 9" Ford with disc brakes and a 3.25 gear ratio. The complete drive train performs flawlessly with no mechanical issues what-so-ever. The body on the car is arrow straight with beautiful chrome and stainless along with all new glass and weatherstripping. The new interior has been completely finished in a two tone beige leather and looks amazing. The dash has been restored with all new chrome hardware and stainless and the A/C vents have been custom fitted in the dash for a clean look. The instrument cluster has also been replaced with a Dakota Digital unit and new Painless wiring harness installed throughout the car. Other features include tilt wheel, power windows, power seat, air conditioning, custom stereo, and electric wipers. The new black Hartz cloth top is also power and is fitted with a custom magnetic parade boot. A brand new set of wide white radials have been installed on a new set of chrome wire wheels. This rare 98 Olds is absolutely breathtaking and is turn key ready. Everything on the car is in working order and it runs and drives like a dream. Car needs nothing and is ready to show and go.........
