Welcome to Ray Skillman Collector Car Sales. My name is David Clark. Email with questions or call anytime. My cell is (317) 371-8935. You are likely thinking that we are asking quite the large sum of money for this 1962 Sunliner. You are correct. Please allow me to explain. We acquired this low mile, rust free example a year or so ago from the local widow who said it was time to sell. The 36k miles are correct. The car was sold new by Smart & Perry Ford on 09/15/1962 here in Greenwood, Indiana. We have the original Ford owner registration card. We took this car completely apart. The frame was sandblasted and epoxy painted to give it that new factory satin look. The rust free body was stripped to bare metal, and painted correct Corinthian white. It has all new seals, weatherstrip, and gaskets. New fuel lines. We pulled the entire drivetrain and cleaned, painted, and freshened everything as needed. New plugs, wires, fluids, filters, etc. Note the correct Ford hoses and clamps. We restored the engine compartment. The steering and suspension components are restored original or new old stock parts. The bumpers were sent out and quality rechromed. All of the stainless was restored and polished by hand. We paid $600.00 for that new old stock hood ornament. The carpet is new. The seats and interior trim are in exceptional original condition. We painted the metal parts of the interior while the car was apart. The power convertible top is in like new condition, and operates just as it should. The original trunk area was properly freshened up. We bought a complete correct factory power seat assembly, and we restored it, and installed it to accommodate just about anyone. The aluminum front grille was removed and anodized. The exhaust system is new. We bore an internal cost of right at $10,000.00 for the better than factory paint job. Over one thousand professional man hours have been devoted to rebirthing this fifty year old Galaxie. The finished product is a pristine, no apology automobile that is dead on correct, and nicer than the day it rolled off of the assembly line. No corners  cut. No expense spared. This may be the nicest day two restoration ever done on a 1962 Galaxie 500 Sunliner. Did I mention the 390 V8 and the desirable Cruise-O-Matic transmission? They make short work out of moving this two ton behemoth. This beautiful car starts up effortlessly, and rides and drives better than anyone would ever expect. It has all of the big block power you would expect. We won't discuss fuel economy... Take this gorgeous automobile to the car shows and start a trophy collection, or save her in your garage to enjoy those sunny Sunday afternoon rides back to the 1960's. There does not exist a nicer, factory restored 1962 Sunliner anywhere. Consider this beauty with confidence gentlemen. A look at our 100 % positive ebay feedback will show you that we tell it like it is. Google Ray Skillman to learn more about our organization. See our other ebay listings to understand the caliber of cars we deal in. Please read entire description and terms of sale. No long distance trades. No zero feedback bidders without a call first.
