Up for sale we have a 1971 Chevy 3500 4x4 Dually. This truck has had a few upgrades. We are not sure if they ever made a dually in ’71, but this one makes for a killer look. It has the features that are a must with the Big Block, Auto Trans, and Disc Brakes up front. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior, interior, and heartbeat of the Chevy, but first we would like to tell you a little about us.

Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned, operated, and own our entire inventory, no consignments, and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 50 to 60 cars at all times. We don’t have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So, that’s how we can sell for less than other dealers. We will start off with the exterior of the Dually. When you look down the side of this truck it looks good with straight body panels and good fit. As with most Dually’s the fender’s in the rear are fiber glass. The rest of the bed is steel as is the cab. The grill and bumpers all look good. The body is covered in Victory Red paint that looks good with the inside of the bed painted as it should be. They added a bed mad to protect the floor of the bed. To help dress the outside of this truck they added stainless wheel simulator. It has new Tires on the front and like new on the rear.

Next, we will take a look at the interior of the ’71. All the metal is painted to match the exterior and is complemented by all the trim being done in black. It has the correct bench seat that’s done in cloth and vinyl. The door panels as well as the carpet is black. When you look at the dash it has a black dash pad. This truck has the factory gauges including the in dash tach. It has what looks like factory Tilt Wheel with a late model GT Steering wheel. They changed the radio and put in a Kenwood AM FM. As a whole the inside of the Truck looks good.

Finally, we will take a look at the heartbeat of the Chevy. Under the hood it has a 454 Big Block that we were told was out of a late model 1 Ton Chevy. It’s mated to a 700R Trans and a Dana 60 Rear End with a Dana up front as well. The engine is dressed with the GM factory Aluminum Valve Covers. Also, it has Power Steering and Power Disc Brakes. This is a factory A/C truck. They fitted this truck with the Tow Package and the Dual Battery. There is a 5th Wheel ball already in the bed so it’s ready to pull. The frame looks good as well as the pans in the cab and the bed.

As I said in the opening statement I don’t know if this Truck has always been a dually. This is a cool truck that can be bought for a great deal.
