This is undoubtedly one of the finest examples of BMW's flagship automobile -  the rare BMW 840Ci.  Only 3,075 were produced from 1995 to 1999. This car has had only three previous owners and it has just under 77,000 original miles.  The care is in truly amazing condition and it drives awesomely.  Please read the following description for complete details:

EXTERIOR

The exterior of this BMW is close to pristine.  There are no dents on the entire car other than a small dent in the hood. Upon very close inspections, you will find minor specks in a forms of either hair line scratches, minor crazing or tiny chips, but take a step back and the care looks perfect. None of the imperfections on the paint are big enough to be shown in the photographs. All glass is original and in perfect condition. Both complete headlamp assemblies were replaced by Sandia BMW with new OEM BMW parts and the headlamps aligned. The front lower valance has apparently encountered some car stops and curbs over it's life and has some broken mounts although it is intact overall.  The overall exterior is well above average with only very slight wear and tear. Even though the first few years the car was driven up North, you will not find a single spot of rust on the entire body or undercarriage.  We purchased the vehicle from a dealer in Florida where it spent a great deal of its life.

INTERIOR

The interior is immaculate as well.  Even the driver's seat shows hardly any wear. Leather is 100% original with no previous repairs. The wood grain piece on top of the ashtray has hairline cracks. The headliner was replaced with an OEM part. The underside of the moonroof was not recovered and when in vent position, some old glue is visible. The carpets are clean and the floor mats look good.  The power seat mechanisms were repaired so that they work properly. We have not smoked in the car and are told that the previous owner was a non-smoker.  We have replaced the old center section with a LeatherZ Mk2 plus armrest. We also installed a Kenwood KDCX695 Bluetooth AM/FM CD player that sounds awesome!  I am so particular that I even ordered new OEM BMW manuals and replaced the glove box flashlight!

MECHANICAL

This car drives like a dream.  The 4.4L V8 engine has tremendous power and the transmission shifts so smoothly, you can hardly feel it.  The car feels and accelerates like a new BMW.  No matter how fast you go, the car feels solid. The suspension is very tight and was gone over by a professional.  A left hand tie rod was replaced.  No other front end work was required.  I replaced the Rear Upper left and right shock/strut mounts with genuine BMW parts and installed Bilstein MSP05490 Rear shock absorbers. The air conditioning is ice cold.  Everything in this BMW works as designed.  Every button and knob does what it is supposed to do. The brake accumulator has been replaced with a new BMW OEM part.  The brake booster has been rebuilt with an improved design.  The Master Brake cylinder is brand new. The tires are excellent. The car has no leaks anywhere.  The air conditioning compressor was replaced with a new Delco unit. The only error message is a faulty rear license plate light.  Both bulbs illuminate but one is dimmer than the other - probably a grounding issue which should be easily fixed.
