PRICE DROPPED $5,000 for QUICK SALE!!!

This is a very cool 55 Chevy Bel Air custom that is a solid, rust-free older restoration of a California car since new. We have a trove of history from its first restoration dating back to 1979.

This Chevy has a strong running 327 V8 that has plenty of horsepower. It is mated to a four speed manual transmission. We encourage you to look closely at the photo gallery of this 55 along with the YouTube video that shows additional details of the car. We love the understated elegance of the silver grey metallic and white two tone livery. Light grey custom pin striping done by Kelly & Sons runs throughout the car and is well done.

The Bel Air is bagged and can be individually raised or lowered separately or together. We think it is very cool looking when dropped to the ground (the photos speak volumes). The engine compartment is detailed for show. While no concours winner this Bel Air draws plenty of attention.

The white tuck and roll vinyl interior is in nice shape. Likely also dating back to the early 1980s, it has a classic custom look and feel.

George Price of San Francisco and San Rafael, CA bought the 55 Chevy in about 1979. It had just over 21,000 miles showing on the odometer and all receipts reference this mileage. He performed extensive restoration work on the 55 from 1979 through 1983. Much of the documentation included services from well-known racing performance service providers.

The engine was completely rebuilt along with the transmission. He also had chrome plating and stainless polishing done to make the car look sharp. This is all fully documented in a huge stack of receipts that will come with the Bel Air. On October 15, 1993 George sold it to Chris Gingher of Pengrove, CA.

By the late 90s the Bel Air was sold to Gene in Southern California. Gene set out on a complete rebuild of the engine and updating the cosmetics. The engine runs very strong and has plenty of power. Gene had the engine cammed with significant head work performed. The engine is a 1964 Corvette engine, 327 cu in with about 300 HP. The engine has about 3,000 miles since the rebuild.

The Bel Air now has about 26,000 miles showing. The Muncie four speed manual transmission drive through a 3:55 four link rear end. The front end has 2 inch drop spindles with power disc brakes and a a new CPP steering box. The Bel Air was bagged without any suspension cutting. The mounting for the front coils and the rear leaf springs were all maintained.

This Chevy is ready to be enjoyed by its new owner and is ready for cruise nights and local car shows! For more information please call Harry Clark at 951.901.5088 or email us at harry@classicpromenade.com.
