"The C/K is the name for Chevrolet and GMC's full-size pickup truck line from 1960 until 1999.The aging C/K light-duty pickup truck was replaced with the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra names in 1999.Until this time the names Silverado and Sierra were used to identify the trim level of the C/K trucks. The Rounded-Line generation ultimately ran for a lengthy 15 model years (1973–1987) with the exception of the Crew Cab, Blazer, Jimmy, and Suburban versions, which continued up until the 1991 model year."

The current owner purchased this truck in the late 90's and completed the restoration about 10 years ago.  The body was removed from the frame and replaced with a rust free body from a 1987 Silverado. The '87 body is pretty much the same as the '79 so it just bolted on with no additional work needed.  A new 350 crate motor purchased from a dealer was installed and extensive work was done to complete the project. It was repainted white, (not a show quality $10,000.00 job), but very nice.  This is a well equipped truck with power steering, power brakes, power door locks, power windows, air conditioning and tilt steering wheel,  In addition it has some very nice aftermarket options. Sportman Fishing cap with slide window, KC auxiliary lights front & rear, Draw-Tite class III trailer hitch, Diamond plate aluminum running boards, rear mud flaps, rear tow hooks, 1" eye bolts w step bumper, rear air leveling bellows, halogen head lamps, Michelin LT M/S 31x10.50 R-15 tires, Sony AM/FM stereo cassette, extra interior lighting and a remote control alarm system.
