Motoexotica Classic Cars is proud to offer this beautiful 2005 Ford Thunderbird Convertible. Finished in Platinum Silver with black leather interior, the car only shows 12,642 original miles and comes with a clean Carfax. The original Thunderbird came to life in 1954 as a '55 model and immediately became a classic. The original 2-seater Bird was a sensation and fired imaginations with its radical design concepts. The 2-passenger Bird lasted for 3 years at which time it was replaced by a 4-passenger Thunderbird that was special in its own right, but was never accepted by the purists who hated Ford for letting the original concept die.

After 45 years, Ford reincarnated the car that is faithful to the original concept in every way. This new Bird was built on the existing rear-wheel-drive platform that is used for the very competent Lincoln LS and Jaguar S-Type. Power for the new Bird comes from a 252 hp 3.9-liter 32 Valve DOHC V-8 Engine that is mated to a 5-speed automatic transmission. Suspension is a sophisticated fully independent system with short-long arm design for both front and rear units. These control arms are made of aluminum in order to reduce the unsprung weight. This design contributes to a relaxed sportiness by combining excellent handling without compromising the ride. The Ford Thunderbird was the 2002 Motor Trend Car of the Year.

The exterior of this car is finished in the original color of Platinum Silver Metallic which looks great. The paint is in great condition and shows only very minor road chips. As this is a 2005 Thunderbird, this is the 50th Anniversary Edition, so it is badged with fender badges to celebrate. This Thunderbird sits upon a set of actual Dayton 80-Spoke wire wheels (purchased at a cost of $2,300!) that look excellent that are wrapped with new P245/50ZR17 Michelin Pilot Sport tires with lots of tread life left. The tires were purchased earlier this year at a cost of over $1,000! The stock wheels are included in the purchase of this car but do not have tires mounted to them.

The interior is in great condition. The seats are finished in black leather and show no significant signs of wear. The black carpet is in great condition as well. The black vinyl dash board is in great shape as are the door panels. This particular Thunderbird has a removable hard top, hard top cover & hard top carrier that looks great and is in fantastic condition. All of the glass is in great condition.

The powerful 3.9L DOHC V8 under the hood is connected to a 5 speed automatic transmission with shifter in the center console. On the road the car has a nice smooth ride, and the car starts right up with the turn of a key. This car is sure to make heads turn. On the road this fantastic Thunderbird runs and drives great.

This agreement to arbitrate shall survive the sale of the automobile described herein. Buyer and Seller hereby agree that Missouri law shall control for all purposes under this Bill of Sale. Buyer and Seller hereby consent to the personal jurisdiction of the state and federal courts of Missouri to specifically enforce the agreement to arbitrate and to enter judgment of and enforce the award of the arbitrator. All above terms and conditions are applied to vehicle sales, whether through Ebay or otherwise. Sorry, but in all fairness to the bidding process, I will NOT disclose my reserve price until the auction has ended.

Payment Terms
Payment must be made by Cashiers Check, Money Orders or Wire Transfers payable in US Dollars. A Refundable deposit in the amount of $500.00 must be received within Twenty-Four(24)hours of the auctions close either by Master Card, Visa or PayPal. The buyer has seven(7) days from close of auction to inspect the vehicle. If the vehicle is not to your liking within this seven day inspection period then your deposit will be refunded 100%. If an inspection or decision takes longer then seven days and you find the vehicle not to your liking, your deposit will be forfeited and the car will be relisted. Final payment must be received within ten (10) days of the auction close. The refundable deposit only applies if you or an agent inspect said vehicle in St. Louis and find it not to your liking. I will not be responsible for buyers remorse or problems found to said vehicle once they have left my property. I am just being realistic, most of the cars I deal in are vintage and by their very nature will need TLC and some degree of attention sooner or later. These are not new cars and should not be treated as such. Once full payment has been received, Seller will fax a copy of clear title, Bill of sale, Buyers guide and additional DMV forms to the Buyer to sign and return via fax. The forms must be returned to the Seller prior to the shipment of said vehicle. Original paperwork will be sent to Buyer Via overnight mail seven(7)days from date of final payment. Transportation will commence only after final payment and signed documentation are received. Once a car is picked up from our premises, you will NOT be able to return the car.

Overseas shipments will be placed into a steel container for safe sea passage. We take care of all the details and paperwork. All you have to do is collect the car at port and enjoy!
