The Mark III was created when Lee Iacocca, president of Ford Motor Company at the time, directed Design Vice President, Gene Bordinat, to "put a Rolls Royce grille on a Thunderbird" in September 1965. The Mark III was based on the four-door Thunderbird model, which was first introduced for 1967. Iacocca wanted to put the Thunderbird's development investment to better use than just the Thunderbird model alone, which "was dying in the marketplace." Instead, Ford would use that investment as a platform for several models.

MotoeXotica Classic Cars is pleased to off the beautiful 1969 Lincoln Mark III you see pictured out of an estate. This particular first year model has been museum stored and maintained for several years. It comes loaded with many factory options such as leather, AC and many power options. It is also believed to be a 61,224 original mile car. This is a great example of an early model Mark III!

Finished in Maroon, the body is solid – as a first year Mark III should be! The paint is in good shape, showing only a few minor imperfections. The paint appears to be original. There is a black vinyl top as well that is in great shape. The chrome on the Mark appears to be original as well, only showing minor imperfections. Overall, this Lincoln shows very well.

Inside, the original interior is intact. The red leather is in good shape, though it does show some minor imperfections and wear. The carpet is a deep, plush red and looks great. The headliner does show signs of wear and has two small holes on the driver’s side, however, it still shows well. This Mark is loaded full of options, including power windows, power window locks, power driver’s seat, power antenna, cruise control, an 8 track player and even air conditioning.

Under the hood, you’ll find the original 460 V8 engine which is attached to an automatic transmission. The car sits upon a set of original Lincoln wheels wrapped in P225/75R15 tires. This car does come equipped with power steering and power brakes.

The VIN is 9Y89A907155 and the mileage shows 61,224, which is believed to be original to the Mark III. It is being sold on a clean and clear title. GET OUT AND DRIVE!!!

This agreement to arbitrate shall survive the sale of the automobile described herein. Buyer and Seller hereby agree that Missouri law shall control for all purposes under this Bill of Sale. Buyer and Seller hereby consent to the personal jurisdiction of the state and federal courts of Missouri to specifically enforce the agreement to arbitrate and to enter judgment of and enforce the award of the arbitrator. All above terms and conditions are applied to vehicle sales, whether through Ebay or otherwise. Sorry, but in all fairness to the bidding process, I will NOT disclose my reserve price until the auction has ended.

Payment Terms
Payment must be made by Cashiers Check, Money Orders or Wire Transfers payable in US Dollars. A Refundable deposit in the amount of $500.00 must be received within Twenty-Four(24)hours of the auctions close either by Master Card, Visa or PayPal. The buyer has seven(7) days from close of auction to inspect the vehicle. If the vehicle is not to your liking within this seven day inspection period then your deposit will be refunded 100%. If an inspection or decision takes longer then seven days and you find the vehicle not to your liking, your deposit will be forfeited and the car will be relisted. Final payment must be received within ten (10) days of the auction close. The refundable deposit only applies if you or an agent inspect said vehicle in St. Louis and find it not to your liking. I will not be responsible for buyers remorse or problems found to said vehicle once they have left my property. I am just being realistic, most of the cars I deal in are vintage and by their very nature will need TLC and some degree of attention sooner or later. These are not new cars and should not be treated as such. Once full payment has been received, Seller will fax a copy of clear title, Bill of sale, Buyers guide and additional DMV forms to the Buyer to sign and return via fax. The forms must be returned to the Seller prior to the shipment of said vehicle. Original paperwork will be sent to Buyer Via overnight mail seven(7)days from date of final payment. Transportation will commence only after final payment and signed documentation are received. Once a car is picked up from our premises, you will NOT be able to return the car.
