The Chevrolet Camaro is an automobile manufactured by General Motors under the Chevrolet brand, classified as a pony car and some versions also as a muscle car. It went on sale on September 29, 1966, for the 1967 model year and was designed as a competing model to the Ford Mustang. The car shared its platform and major components with the Pontiac Firebird, also introduced for 1967.

First-generation Camaro debuted in September 1966, for the 1967 model year, up to 1969 on a new rear-wheel drive GM F-body platform and would be available as a 2-door, 2+2 seating, coup'e or convertible with a choice of many engine options. Concerned with the runaway success of the Ford Mustang, Chevrolet executives realized that their compact sporty car, the Corvair, would not be able to generate the sales volume of the Mustang due to its rear-engine design, as well as declining sales, partly due to the bad publicity from Ralph Nader's book, Unsafe at Any Speed. Therefore, the Camaro was touted as having the same conventional rear-drive, front-engine configuration as Mustang and Chevy II Nova. In addition, the Camaro was designed to fit a variety of power plants in the engine bay. The first-generation Camaro would last until the 1969 model year and would eventually inspire the design of the new retro fifth-generation Camaro.

MotoeXotica Classic Cars is pleased to present the beautiful 1968 Camaro SS you see pictured. This is an original mile car, showing just over 98,000 miles and we have a signed odometer statement from the previous owner. As this is the SS version, this Camaro is powered by the 350 cubic inch V8 and has an 4 speed manual transmission.

Finished in a pale yellow, the paint shows very few minor imperfections and looks fantastic overall. The yellow paint is accented by a set of black vinyl stripes that look great! The body is very solid and straight as an arrow, as a Camaro should be. The chrome on the car looks awesome, showing very few minor imperfections, if any. Overall, this car shows exceptionally well with a great shine and luster.

Inside, the interior is finished in black vinyl. It appears as if it has been reupholstered in the recent past and shows well as there are no notable wear marks or imperfections on the front bucket seats or backseat. The carpet, headliner and door panels look awesome as well. The dashboard is in great condition, still housing the original gauges. There have been added aftermarket oil, amp and temperature gauges that look great. This car also still has its AM radio.

Under the hood, you will find the powerhouse that is the famous 350 cubic inch V8. Attached to the engine is a 4 speed manual transmission which makes this Camaro a blast to drive. This particular Camaro does come equipped with power steering and power brakes. The car sits upon a set of chrome 15” Rocket wheels wrapped in P225/60R15 tires in the front and P245/60R15 wheels in the rear.

This is gorgeous Camaro! The VIN is 124378L333377 and the mileage currently shows 98,162. It is being sold on a clean and clear title. GET OUT AND DRIVE!!!
