OVERALL, THIS IS A GREAT CAR WITH A FEW MINOR ISSUES THAT SHOULD BE EASILY REPAIRED. READ ON FOR DETAILS.
THIS AQUA-BLUE PAINT AND THE BODY LOOK GOOD WITH ONLY SMALL CHIPS AND SCRATCHES HERE AND THERE. THE BODY HAS 3 SMALL DINGS ON THE LEFT-REAR DOOR AND A SMALL SHALLOW DENT ON THE RIGHT-REAR 1/4 PANEL, BUT IS OTHERWISE NICE. THE PAINT IS GLOSSY AND LOOKS VERY NICE.
INSIDE, THIS S430 LOOKS GOOD WITH ONLY SOME SLIGHT DYE WEAR ON THE DRIVER'S SEAT AND STEERING WHEEL. THE PLASTIC TRIM AROUND THE BOTTOM OF THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT NEEDS CLEANING/PAINTING. THE CENTER-ARMREST MOUNTED CUPHOLDER LID WON'T CLOSE ALL THE WAY. THE RIGHT-FRONT DOOR POWER WINDOW SWITCH HAS PUSH THROUGH THE WOOD TRIM. THERE ARE A FEW SLIGHT CARPET STAINS. THE PLASTIC SEAT TRIM ON THE DRIVER'S SEAT IS LOOSE (SEE PIC BELOW), AND THE WOOD TRIM HAS A FEW CRACKS IN THE CLEARCOAT. THESE ARE ALL MINOR ISSUES AND MOST CAN BE EASILY REPAIRED/CLEANED/PAINTED. OVERALL, THIS MERCEDES HAS A GOOD LOOKING INTERIOR!
THE ALLOY WHEELS LOOK GOOD AND THE TIRES HAVE ABOUT 70-80% OF THEIR TREAD REMAINING.
THE COOLANT LEVEL SENSOR IS BAD. THE DASH DISPLAY SHOW A "COOLANT LEVEL LOW, VISIT WORKSHOP" MESSAGE, BUT THE COOLANT LEVEL IS FINE. THE CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER & HEAT WORK FINE, BUT THE A/C DOES NOT BLOW COLD. WE HAVE NOT DIAGNOSED WHY. THERE IS A CATALYTIC CONVERTER RATTLE. THERE ARE A FEW AREAS OF BUBBLING RUST AT THE TOP OF THE LEFT-SIDE DOOR OPENINGS. YOU DON'T SEE THESE RUST SPOTS UNLESS THE DOOR IS OPENED. YOU CAN SEE PICS OF THESE AREAS BELOW.
THIS MERCEDES IS EQUIPPED WITH HEATED SEATS, DUAL POWER SEATS W/MEMORY, BOSE AUDIO, CD PLAYER, CD CHANGER, NAVIGATION (NAV DISC IS MISSING), POWER TILT/TELESCOPIC STEERING WHEEL, DUAL-ZONE CLIMATE CONTROL, SUNROOF, AND MUCH MORE!
THE VA STATE INSPECTION STICKER IS CURRENT (EXPIRES 5/15). WE HAVE NOT CHECKED THIS CAR OUT TO SEE IF IT WILL PASS STATE INSPECTION AGAIN. THE CAR WILL HAVE TO BE RE-INSPECTED FOR VIRGINIA WINNING BIDDERS, BUT OUT-OF-STATE WINNING BIDDERS WILL RECEIVE THE CAR WITH THE CURRENT INSPECTION STICKER ON THE CAR. ANY COST TO MAKE THIS CAR PASS A NEW STATE INSPECTION ARE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE WINNING BIDDER.
