What we have here is a numbers matching 1960 Chevrolet Impala Sports Coupe "Bubble Top" with approximately 2,500 miles on the odometer since completion of an extensive, frame-off restoration. This beautiful car is finished in Roman Red and Ermine White and has a complementary interior of the same colors.  Overall, this is a stunning show car.

This 1960 Impala Sports Coupe is a southern car having come from Atlanta and is believed to have been owned by the same family from original purchase through September 2012; at that time, it was sold by the children of the original owner afterwhich the restoration began.  The body, paint and interior were completed to exacting professional standards as was the fully rebuilt original engine (hardened valve guides - can use unleaded gas) and transmission.  This car has the 283cid Power Pac Super Turbo Fire V8 which is the same engine as was in the Corvette of the same year, This motor has  been completely vated, fully balanced and rebuilt to extremely high technical standards and she is equipped with the proper GM 4v Rochester carburetor and mounted on the proper intake manifold.

Everything on the car is date correct and original except the steering which was upgraded with ‘new’ power steering system with late model GM 605 steering gear box , and is now fitted with a special engineered design by Borgeson with upper and lower universal steering ‘U’ joints which eliminates the original steering rag joint; much better for steering ability, control and improved drivability. she also has an electronic ignition inside the original housing and this can always be put back to points if desired.  She has her original GM wheels with proper wide whitewall bias ply tires, (car was just fitted with new 225/ 75 x 14 Coker Radial Tires ), the chrome and stainless trim are in exceptional condition. She has her stock AM Radio (not working), ashtray with lighter, roll up windows that work well, side vent windows, oil, gas, and temperature gauges all work, white headliner with white visors, rear ashtrays on each side and all the door panels have the chrome trim with the ‘arrows’ as from the factory.

In addition to the above, we have the full size matching spare in the trunk, the original GM style bumper jack assembly, the inside of the trunk is red with the proper trunk liner and the undercarriage is rust free and detailed.
