The 1955 Dodge Royal
Lancer Convertible burst into 1955 with stylist Virgil Exner's all-new
"Forward Look," embodied in this 1955 Dodge Royal Lancer Convertible.
This Dodge is on a 120-inch wheelbase and has a "Flair Fashion" look
all its own. This Convertible is powered by a 240 cubic inch Poly-heads V8
delivering 175 horsepower. There was only 3,302 convertibles built in
1955.
About this car, I have
owned this car for 8 years. I purchased it to restore and never got to it. It has
been in my warehouse at work out of the weather as long as I owned it. I never tried to
start the engine, it is as it was when I purchased it in 2006.
The car has some rust, please see photos, I tried to show all the locations. There is also a photo of the frame and under carriage. Except for the windshield, this car is complete and deserves to be restored by someone who would loves to own a 1955 Dodge Convertible! In closing, there just aren’t that many of these convertibles in any conditions still around, this one is ready to go!
