The Testarossa by Pininfarina can trace its roots back to the faults of the 1981 512bb. The problems that the Testarossa was conceived to fix, included a cabin that got increasingly hot from the indoor plumbing that ran between the front-mounted radiator and the midships-mounted engine and a lack of luggage space. To fix these problems Ferrari and Pininfarina designed the Testarossa to be larger than its predecessor, the Berlinetta Boxer. The Testarossa name, which means "red head" in Italian, comes from the red-painted cam covers on the flat12 engine.

Year of Production - from 1984 to 1991

380 bhp, 4,943 cc DOHC horizontally opposed 12-cylinder engine with Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection, five-speed manual transmission, four-wheel independent suspension by double wishbones, coil springs, and telescopic dampers, and four-wheel disc brakes. Wheelbase: 100.4 in.

The Unveiling of the Testarossa back then: Instead of unveiling their new car at one of the more traditional venues, Ferrari chose the stage of the famous Lido nightclub in Paris to unveil the Testarossa. It was then officially exhibited at the Paris Auto Show the following day, and the impact it created was equally spectacular. Bid Retractions - Bid retractions are not allowed nor will be recognized within 12 hours of auctions end.  Seller will not be obligated to sell in the event of a late retraction.

Negative Feedback Bidders - We do not allow bidding from negative feedback bidders. New bidders with zero feedback rating should email us or call us prior to bidding.
