Winner of numerous "BEST OF SHOW" and Top Specialty Awards!

Just picture yourself receiving a "BEST OF SHOW" Award with this car!

Here are photos of some of the many "BEST OF SHOW" Awards
that this car has received; some of which are over 6 Feet Tall!

In the past 19 years that I have owned this vehicle; it has never been taken to the drag strip and raced as it was built and prepared to compete at the highest level at car shows. Many people who have seen my "TROPHY ROOM" have jaw dropping expressions on their faces when they see the numerous trophies some of which are over 6 feet tall. These are the kinds of trophies that many serious car show owners would literally kill for and spend thousands of dollars on their own vehicle in order to have these trophies in their own private collection!

AVERAGE SCORES AT CAR SHOWS:

1. Engine Compartment: Highly detailed with many chrome plated parts; 100 Points.
2.. Undercarriage: Highly detailed which includes a chrome polished stainless steel exhaust system & mufflers; 100 Points.
3. Trunk: Complete upholstered trunk area and trunk lid; 100 Points.
4. Interior: Which includes custom logo floor mats; 100 Points.
5. Exterior Paint: Since most of the vehicle has never been repainted and still has the factory paint which includes minor flaws such as orange peel along with the factory applied lower rocker panel chip spray; most judges score the paint in the low 90's.

MECHANICAL CONDITION:
Everything is in perfect working condition; including the BF Goodrich tires which look and perform like new.

You might find a Grand National at a cheaper price; but I guarantee you it will not be a truly
proven winner at car shows; with numerous trophies that I have to back up this statement!

A Grand National in this low mileage mint condition that has not been highly modified and raced is a truly rare find!

"ENGINE AREA"

3.8 Liter V6 Turbocharged Engine!

NOTES:

1. Except for the aftermarket K&N Cone Air Filter system; everything underneath the hood is totally stock.

3. The engine has never been rebuilt and performs like brand new.

 "TRUNK AREA"

Highly detailed and upholstered Trunk Compartment and Trunk Lid!

Buick Encore takes a hit of Mokka to tackle Dakar

Wed, 03 Sep 2014

There are many vehicles we'd consider taking racing. Even on a cross-country rally as punishing as the Dakar. But a Buick Encore? That's not one that would enter our motorsports-based consciousness. Yet it's basically what General Motors is entering in the South American rally raid this year, and you're looking at it.
Unveiled at the Moscow Motor Show, this rally machine is based on (or at least billed as) an Opel Mokka - the name that GM's European brand applies to the vehicle Americans know as the Encore, Buick's subcompact crossover. Only it's obviously been extensively modified. It's got a ten-inch raised suspension, a 137-gallon fuel tank, carbon-fiber bodywork and... hold on, we're sure we're missing something here. Oh, right: a 6.2-liter V8 kicking out 340 horsepower and 487 pound-feet of torque to all four wheels through a six-speed sequential gearbox.
In other words, this is not the same Encore (or Mokka) you can pick up at your local Buick, Opel or Vauxhall dealership. It's not even close. It's not even recognizable as such, really. It was unveiled alongside a more sedate Opel Mokka Moscow Edition and a slew of other local debuts for the Opel brand that you can read more about in the (translated and original) Russian press release below.

GM recalling nearly 4,000 vehicles over airbag concerns

Thu, 31 Jan 2013

Four different General Motors vehicles from the 2012 model year are being recalled over a potential airbag issue. The driver's side airbag shorting bar in the 2012 Buick Verano and 2012 Chevrolet Camaro, Cruze and Sonic might make contact with the airbag terminals, even during a crash. If so, the airbag won't deploy when it should, possibly increasing injury to the driver.
The recall is expected to begin on February 13 for the 3,896 units that might be affected. GM will notify owners who can then take their vehicles to dealers to have the airbag coil replaced. A bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration below has more info.

Answering The $30,000 Entry-Level Luxury Question
Twenty years ago, a comparison between an entry-level Buick and Acura would have matched a Skylark against an Integra.
Twenty years ago, a comparison between an entry-level Buick and its Acura equivalent would have matched a Skylark against an Integra. The unfair battle would have resulted in the compact American's defeat in nearly every measurable category, as the Japanese competitor was arguably at the height of its powers.
