this is a private party sale for a friend who is much too busy to deal with the sale of this car. He has had it for quite some time and the car runs great. It is in really really good condition for the age of the car and it is faster than my 2007Audi turbo at times! it has an inline 6 cyl, the toolkit in the trunk is fully intact, the interior is awesome. The only thing I would note about the interior is that there is a small tear in the drivers seat leather but there is no missing leather and was taped over right away to deter any more damage. should be very easy to fix with a kit but I wanted to leave that decision to the new buyer. Also it looks as though the headliner had come down at some point but it was tacked back so nicely that I didn't even notice it until last week! It does have a sunroof, I have never driven a BMW before and I know that I couldn't figure out how to get the windows to roll down for 3 days until I found a button on the dash that did it. I cant figure out to open the sunroof. I was told that there are no problems with it so maybe I just cant figure out. the car has been very well maintained but there are no service records. You can tell when you see it that somebody really loved it and did more than the routine maintenance on this car. the computer shows there is a blinker bulb that needs to be replaced but last time I tried that I shocked myself. literally. another decision that I will leave up to the new buyer. every thing else is very black and white and in A+ condition!

2014 BMW X5 recalled over faulty child-safety locks
Tue, 27 May 2014BMW is set to recall some 6,400 of its new-for-2014 X5 SUVs built between December 12, 2013 and March 10, 2014 due to concerns that the child safety locks, if set, might deactivate without warning. The problem affects only those vehicles with the automatic soft-closing option.
According to the bulletin issued by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the lock mechanism on the rear doors "may not have been manufactured to correct tolerances," meaning the safety locks could disengage with a simple pull of the door handle. Basically, with a pair of tugs, the rear doors could be opened from the inside, regardless of child safety locks.
BMW is in the process of notifying owners of affected vehicles. Any necessary repairs will be conducted free of charge. Take a look below for the official press release from NHTSA.
BMW M4 Concept bows, takes handoff from M3 Coupe
Thu, 15 Aug 2013Remember how, when the first BMW M4 Concept images leaked earlier today, we told you the official information would be coming later this evening? Well, scratch that. The whole kit and caboodle is now online, meaning all the official details are below, as well as a full gallery of high-res images above.
The replacement for the M3 Coupe, the Concept M4 Coupe shares a number of styling similarities with its dearly departed forbearer. To us, it's kind of like a mishmash of greatest hits from the new 4 Series and the old M3. The 4 Series headlights have grown on us, and the side grilles, which are part of BMW's Air Curtain and Air Breather system, are functional.
The power dome in the hood is smaller than on the M3, but is of a similar shape, while the rear diffuser and exhaust treatment look like they're lifted straight from the old car, aside from being finished in carbon fiber. Speaking of which, the carbon fiber roof sports a new touch, a cool BMW M tri-color that runs the length of the roof on the driver's side. The 20-inch M alloy wheels come in a twin five-spoke design, which has sort of become a calling card of BMW's M cars in recent years. Hiding behind those meaty wheels are M's carbon-ceramic brakes.

Starting with the 300-horsepower xDrive35i that starts at $48,925 after destination, our special touch aimed at a luxury cruiser and added $9,250 to proceedings for a final tally of $58,175. That got us the Technology, Lighting and Driver Assistance packages, navigation and enhanced USB and smartphone integration. We were tempted to go for the Dynamic Damping Control for just $1,000 and a set of 20-inch M Double Spoke Wheels, but the configurator didn't want to mix the M Sport Line with our Sparkling Brown metallic exterior hue so we skipped it.
