1998 Volvo S90 Sedan, 4-door, 2.9l 6 Cyl, Automatic, Silver (960) Nice! on 2040-cars
Frazeysburg, Ohio, United States
Up for bidding is my 1998 Volvo S90 sedan in silver.
Arguably one of the best Volvo models ever made, this was the last model year
for this series.
This one’s clock is at just under 167k original, actual miles. With the 2.9L bulletproof straight 6 engine, it’s barely broken in! The previous owner's parents bought it certified pre-owned from MAG Volvo in Dublin, Ohio, then later passed it on to him and his wife who recently downgraded to a minivan due to kids. That makes it over a decade of staying within one family. Options on this vehicle: premium sound system
(AM/FM/CD/Cassette), full gray leather interior, power sunroof, front + side
airbags, power windows/seats/locks/mirrors, cruise, alloy wheels, ABS, winter
and sport transmission modes, and much, much more. I have attached 46 pictures in an imgur album. If you would like a picture of something more up close, feel free to ask and I’ll take it for you. Pictures here: http://imgur.com/a/RBdKq Video of cold start & drive here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AORDjA85R6o If you are the winning bidder, congratulations, this Volvo is yours! Please send a $250 nonrefundable deposit via PayPal within 48 hours, with the remainder due via cash or direct bank wire transfer within 14 days. Can arrange to ship or pick you up at CMH airport if needed. I may also be able to deliver depending on the circumstances. I am a private owner and not a dealer like many sellers here on eBay, so there will be no surprise doc fees. Thanks for looking!
ATTENTION BIDDERS WITH LESS THAN 5 FEEDBACK: Please give me a call before putting in a bid on the car so that I know you are serious. If you fail to do this I will unfortunately have to cancel your bid. I appreciate everyone’s understanding. Thank you! |

First production Volvo S60 Polestar shown off
Thu, 18 Apr 2013With the Volvo S60 Polestar going on sale in Australia this June, Volvo has finally released images and specs for the production version of the performance sedan. While no official build number has been announced, one image of the car's steering wheel shows a serial number plaque that says "No. 000/100" indicating that production will likely be limited to just 100 units in Australia. The press release states that the Australia run of Polestar-tuned S60s is a "pilot project" and that other potential markets are "under investigation."
Although it looks very similar to the S60 Polestar Concept we first saw at the LA Auto Show last year, the production version of the car sports a few changes. Visually, the front and rear fascias have been slightly modified from the concept car, as have the matte-black wheels. Inside, we see a different steering wheel that adds the aforementioned build sequence plaque but loses the suede leather accents, and there is also a sportier looking shift lever with a chrome handle that features a Polestar logo.
As for performance figures, rather than the 508-horsepower of the S60 Polestar Concept, the production version will be limited to 350 hp and more than 368 pound-feet of torque, which is still an improvement of about 25 hp and at least 14 lb-ft over a 2013 S60 R-Design. Polestar also tuned the six-speed automatic transmission and Haldex all-wheel-drive system for optimal performance leading to a top speed of 155 miles per hour and a 0-62 mph time of 4.9 seconds. The production S60 Polestar will still get suspension, brake and aerodynamic upgrades.
Next Volvo XC90 design teased
Thu, 29 Aug 2013When Volvo took the wraps off its Concept Coupe yesterday, the Swedish automaker said that while "the all-new XC90 is an entirely different type of car, you will recognize the connection instantly when it is revealed next year." We raised our eyebrows at this upon first read, but after seeing these photos, posted on Feber.se, Volvo certainly wasn't joking.
During a press conference where the Concept Coupe debuted, teaser images of the next XC90 were shown, and the connection between it and the conceptual two-door are obvious. The long, T-shaped lighting elements in the slim headlamps are certainly the most noticeable tie between the two vehicles, but the angular lower fascia openings seen here can also be found quite prominently on the Concept Coupe.
Feber.se also has a few images showing the new taillamp and interior designs of the XC90, as well. And not surprisingly, those two facets of the new crossover's DNA are also surprisingly close to the elements found on the Concept Coupe. It's interesting to see how the concept's C-shaped taillamps have been massaged for the more upright design of the XC90's rump, and inside the cabin, it appears Volvo is serious about this vertically oriented infotainment display.
Sweden's Prince Carl Philip to race for Volvo in STCC
Tue, 04 Dec 2012Prince Carl Philip Bernadotte has it good. He is a member of the Swedish Royal Family, he dates a model and he has been voted by Forbes as one of the "20 Hottest Young Royals." If that were not enough, he is a fairly successful racecar driver. The latter has earned him a spot on the Volvo Polestar racing team for the Swedish Touring Car Championship. The prince will be piloting a race-spec S60 in the 2013 STCC campaign.
Starting in 2008, Prince Carl Philip began competing in the Porsche Carrera Cup, where he placed as high as 11th. In 2010, he finished first in the Porsche GT3 Endurance competition, and most recently, he placed fourth in the 2012 Swedish GT GTB.
As his motorsport career up to this point suggests, the prince is quite serious about racing and the STCC is the next step up. According to Prince Carl Philip, "There is no tougher championship in Sweden and at the same time as I have respect for it, it motivates me greatly." You can read more on Prince Carl Philip's upcoming campaign with Polestar in the press release below.
