Value priced $2500 under book. How can that be so low for a good car.? Not perfect but an very good car. NOT A RENTAL CAR. Miles are salesman's highway miles. It was on a lease with all preventative maintenance not only free but mandatory. Clean Carfax, no crashes or bangs at all. But it did get caught in a hailstorm and we had to repair some hail dings on horizontal surfaces. It happens. Still has a couple of hail dings in difficult spots but looks good. Rest of car fine, leather inside is a typical non-smoker luxury interior. Drives and feels great as you would expect. No sunroof. Do I wish it was completely original and 22K Miles? You bet- then it would be $22500. Still yields the Volvo experience of safety and longevity as it delivers a sporty driving feel while cradled in luxury. The T5 is a turbo that delivers plenty of stomp yet is amazingly economical, too! Good history, superb value. Excellent cars fully serviced by our experts to the most paranoid's satisfaction. Experience? We've been in used imports since 1966. We sell 2 1/2 times the national average for repeat and referral-we must do something right. Members of Better Business Bureau. Mechanic's inspection welcome. Free Carfax upon request. E-mail or (better) call toll-free 888-676-6352 or (best) come visit. Thanks

Subprime financing on the rise in new car sales, leasing too

Fri, 07 Dec 2012

We all remember the financial crisis that began several years back. At its core was a splurge of subprime lending for housing loans. The housing bubble burst, triggering a collapse of the mortgage-backed securities market. Apparently, those types of loans still exist in the automotive industry, and the market share for these types of "nonprime, subprime, and deep subprime," loans has grown 13.6 percent compared to the third quarter a year ago.
According to an Automotive News report, high-risk lending expanded to 24.8 percent of total loans in Q3, up from 21.9 percent for this time last year. As this level increased, average credit scores of borrowers dropped to 755, down from 763 a year ago. In that time, the average financing amount increased $90 per vehicle, to $25,963.
At 818, Volvo maintains the highest per-owner credit score, while Mitsubishi has the lowest, at 694. The highest rate of borrowers was at Toyota, with 14 percent of the market, followed by Ford with 13.1 percent and Chevrolet at 11.1.

Volvo shows glimpses of new Concept C Coupe ahead of Frankfurt [w/video]

Mon, 26 Aug 2013

Volvo has released a short teaser video for a concept car that will be unveiled on August 29 ahead of the Frankfurt Motor Show. At first glance, it would appear to be nothing more than a few sketches and some words from Volvo design boss Thomas Ingenlath, but at about the 11-second mark, four images are flashed on the screen revealing the true nature of the video - the Volvo Concept C Coupe.
As Inglenlath suggests in the video, this new concept is designed to help bring more excitement to the brand's lineup, and from what we can tell in these strategically captured shots, the company is definitely on to something. While we don't get too much of look from any one angle, the front reveals what appears to be a concave version of Volvo's signature grille and the side shows off a stylish greenhouse. We have to wonder, do these images confirm the identity of the mystery concept car that's been floating around the Internet this week? In either case, our favorite view is perhaps the rear shot giving us a glimpse of the car's name as well as its flat, wide haunches and C-shaped taillights.
Scroll down to watch the whole video, and if you don't have a trigger-quick mouse finger, don't worry. We made a gallery of screen shots showing the four embedded images.

Tony Nicolosi confirmed as Volvo's North American CEO

Tue, 14 Jan 2014

This past October, John Maloney stepped down from his post as CEO at Volvo Cars North America. In his place, the Swedish automaker tentatively promoted Tony Nicolosi, who had until then served as head of Volvo Car Financial Services. The appointment was reportedly temporary, giving Nicolosi the title of acting CEO. But according to Automotive News, his position has now been confirmed for the long run.
Although Volvo has yet to announce a new director for its financial arm, Nicolosi says they have found the right person and will announce sometime between now and the National Automobile Dealers Association convention, set to take place later this month in New Orleans.
Last month, Volvo also announced that its global communications chief Bodil Eriksson is moving from the home office in Gothenburg to the North American office in Rockleigh, New Jersey. Anders Kärrberg has been promoted from the government affairs post to take Eriksson's place.
