This 1994 Volvo 940 wagon is a fantastic rare find. The vehicle has only 49,470 miles as documented and supported by the Carfax history report. Also denoted by the Carfax histroy report is no accident or damage reported revealing a clean title. The vehicle was purchased by our dealership, Bill Gray Volvo, at an auction in New York.
We performed a PA State Inspection and the stickers are good through 4/14. The brake specifications are front: 11/32 and rear: 10/32. The tire specifications are 10/32. We performed a used car safety check. We completed the emissions tailpipe test. We replaced the right sideview mirror and the spark plugs.
The vehicle is in great shape and runs very well. There are some light scratches throughout the vehicle and some paint bubbles on the hood. There are 2 scratched areas on the tailgate that are a little more pronounced and are shown in the picture section. There is a dent in the middle of the front of the roof. There are what looks like tiny red paint spots on the rear bumper. One hubcap is slightly different than the rest on the driver side front wheel as you can see in the picture section. The leather seats are in good condition with only some minor cracking on the driver seat. The air conditioning works great. There is a small crack in the driver door side storage panel. There are front and rear mud flaps on the vehicle. A new battery was installed in the vehicle on 6/3/2009. It is certainly a remarkable looking vehicle for its age being a 1994 model year.
We require a $500 deposit within 48 hours of purchase agreement. We accept PayPal for deposits only. Final payment is due within 7 days of auction close.
Regarding any questions or for additional information please contact Ian Joyce at Bill Gray Volvo by sending a message through eBay or by phone at 724-949-1555.
On May-30-13 at 16:02:32 PDT, seller added the following information:
The owner of the dealership is currently driving the vehicle. The actual mileage will be slightly higher.

Subprime financing on the rise in new car sales, leasing too
Fri, 07 Dec 2012We all remember the financial crisis that began several years back. At its core was a splurge of subprime lending for housing loans. The housing bubble burst, triggering a collapse of the mortgage-backed securities market. Apparently, those types of loans still exist in the automotive industry, and the market share for these types of "nonprime, subprime, and deep subprime," loans has grown 13.6 percent compared to the third quarter a year ago.
According to an Automotive News report, high-risk lending expanded to 24.8 percent of total loans in Q3, up from 21.9 percent for this time last year. As this level increased, average credit scores of borrowers dropped to 755, down from 763 a year ago. In that time, the average financing amount increased $90 per vehicle, to $25,963.
At 818, Volvo maintains the highest per-owner credit score, while Mitsubishi has the lowest, at 694. The highest rate of borrowers was at Toyota, with 14 percent of the market, followed by Ford with 13.1 percent and Chevrolet at 11.1.
These are the top luxury cars bought by people entering the segment for the first time
Fri, 25 Jul 2014Let's say you just got a big promotion at work or the kids are moving out of the house, and you finally have some extra money. You decide to blow it all at once and treat yourself by upgrading your ride. Naturally, you look to a luxury automaker. What do you choose?
Models like the Audi A3 and Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class may be tailor-made to introduce buyers to the premium segment, but a new study finds that they don't garner the highest rates of non-luxury customer conquests. It turns out that a Volvo leads among folks moving up to a premium brand, and it isn't even one that's made anymore, at that.
A recent study by Polk and IHS Automotive looked at what models had the highest rates of buyers upgrading from a non-luxury segment. The information comes from its new vehicle registration data through April 2014. All ten top models boasted conquest rates of over 50 percent, but the Volvo C70 led the field with 68.01 percent of its customers coming from non-premium brands.
Volvo denies boss Jacoby is taking a run at Opel CEO post
Tue, 07 Aug 2012It seems that every news report that involves the name "Opel" is eventually followed by a report that says, "Uh, never mind." Executives fill positions, then they're gone, or they're supposed to fill positions but duck out before doing so, five-year product offensives turn into grabbing for life preservers, and turnaround plans are followed by... new turnaround plans. With the recent departure of Opel CEO Karl-Friedrich Stracke, Swedish newspaper Dagens Industri reported that Volvo CEO Stefan Jacoby topped the list of candidates to sit in Opel's very hot seat.
Volvo spokesman Stefan Elfstrom has piped up to say "Mr. Jacoby is fully occupied with running Volvo and has no plan for leaving his present job." Stranger things have happened, though, and who knows what the truth is, but we have to admit we'd be surprised if Jacoby jumped off the Volvo express - recently given an $11-billion boost by parent company Geely - to take his chances in the Opel maelstrom.
So Opel's search for a CEO continues. At least we have the Adam to look forward to.
