1991 Volvo 740 Wagon-2 Owner Car In Same Family!! 73,000 Miles!!! on 2040-cars
Blairstown, New Jersey, United States
This is a 1991 VOLVO 740 WAGON. This is a magnificent running 73,000 mile car. You will be hard pressed to find another with low miles and in this superb condition. There is no rust on this car! The power antenna does not work. The radio DOES work. The speedometer while driving SOMETIMES hangs at around 45MPH and then will jump up too the actual speed you are going. The odometer works perfectly. This is very common with 240's and 740's.
The VOLVO runs perfect and has had a service completed by me including a new battery, oil and filter change and valve cover gasket. It has a clean history report with no accidents or other issues. I WILL INSTALL (4) NEW TIRES PRIOR TO THE END OF AUCTION! This is a get in and drive away Volvo needing no known repairs. As you know, this is just broken in with these low miles. These Volvo's are routinely up for sale with as much as a 500,000 miles on them!! You can drive this car for many years to come.
Driving impression is outstanding....the steering is tight with no wander. The transmission shifts nice and crisp and the motor is responsive. All power equipment works including the power windows. The air conditioning blows ICY COLD.
I DO NOT RESPOND TO E-MAILS OR TEXTS......if you have a question, please call anytime till midnight. If I am on the phone, leave a message. I RETURN ALL CALLS. My name is Al....(908) 219-sixty-eight-zero-eight. |

Volvo confirms return of the wagon with V60 headed to US
Wed, 27 Mar 2013Turns out that promised new production Volvo model for the United States is indeed the V60 wagon, as we had previously predicted. And it's not terribly surprising, as Volvo has a long and storied history of wagon sales in the US, from the old, loveable 240 to the more recent high-performance V70R. And yet the automaker hasn't had a proper non-XC, non-crossover-style wagon in the US since it pulled the V70 away at the end of the 2010 model year.
"The new Volvo V60 is for people who want the handling of a dynamic sports sedan but need the versatility of a wagon," says Volvo, highlighting the reason many of us on the Autoblog team harbor such fondness for wagons in general.
Volvo is currently showing off the R-Design package for its entire model line, including the V60, at the New York Auto Show. We don't know for sure if the V60 will launch with the R-Design package or if it will come at a later date, and we also see no mention of a Polestar edition, though we're hopeful.
Volvo XC90 R-Design adds a dash of sport
Thu, 18 Sep 2014The 2015 Volvo XC90 is a huge leap forward for the Swedish automaker as its first all-new model since leaving Ford ownership. There's a lot riding on the crossover's success, too, because its platform is supposed to underpin Volvo vehicles for years to come. The latest move for the new CUV is adding a little aggressiveness to the look with the R-Design trim for buyers desiring a sportier-looking Swede.
The R-Design joins the already announced Momentum and Inscription trims. Mechanically it doesn't change anything, but ticking the box for the R-Design adds a slightly different grille with horizontal slats, a redesigned lower air dam, new window trim, matte silver side-mirror covers and rectangular exhaust nestled in an altered lower rear bumper. The sportier XC90 comes standard with 20-inch wheels, but a 22-inch design is optional, as well.
The meaner look is carried inside with sport seats covered in Nubuck and Nappa leather, a perforated leather steering wheel and R-Design trim for the gearshift, pedals, floor mats and illuminated tread plates. The touchscreen infotainment system also gets an R-Design theme.
Volvo confirms V60 Sportswagon engine lineup for US
Fri, 13 Sep 2013
In addition to revamping its entire 2014 lineup, Volvo has already promised us that we'll be getting the V60 wagon early next year, but now the Swedish automaker has confirmed that sexy wagon will go on sale in January. If that's not good enough for you diehard station wagon models, there's even better news: An available R-Design model will be the "fastest and most powerful wagon in Volvo history."
The V60 R-Design will have a turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine under the hood producing 325 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of torque. Other engines available in the wagon will include the company's well-regarded turbo inline-five along with a new turbo inline-four wearing the Drive-E name. Volvo says Drive-E can "offer the opportunity" to add electrification, but there's no word as to whether or not the US will receive a V60 plug-in model. Also not yet released are fuel economy, vehicle specs and pricing. More information about the V60 and its powertrains are available in the official press release posted below.
