This vehicle is in amazing shape. It shifts very smoothly into and our of each gear. Everything on this car works as it should.
There are only two negatives about this car and they are:
1. The Tachometer once in a great while cuts out
2. There is some minor rust that is shown in the pictures (rear driver's side door sill about the size of a flash card)
The only you woud have to do to this car is maybe put some rear tires on it when winter hits.
THIS CAR WAS BABIED AND IT IS VERY APPARENT! THIS WILL BE A GREAT CAR FOR THE NEXT OWNER

I have done my best to show everything that i can on this car. I am an upfront seller and would not even attempt to deceive anyone as I understand that buying car can be a nerve racking experience. Please keep in mind that this vehicle is a USED CAR.

Volvo promises new direct-injected diesels, 8-speed auto

Tue, 09 Apr 2013

As a part of eliminating its dependence on Ford platforms and powertrains, Volvo has previously announced information about its Volvo Engine Architecture (VEA) and Scalable Platform Architecture (SPA), but now we're finally getting some details about what will power some of the Swedish automaker's next-generation products.
The biggest key to VEA on the diesel engines is a new technology Volvo calls i-ART. This system uses unique injectors at each cylinder capable of monitoring fuel pressure and adjusting accordingly to maximize fuel economy and performance and reduce emissions. Looking ahead, Volvo says its four-cylinder engines will be able to offer the power of a six-cylinder and eventually, mixed with some sort of electrification, will be able to rival the performance of a V8 and "turn V8s into dinosaurs."
More details about the new diesel injection technology is posted in the press release below.

How many other cars does it take to kill a Volvo?

Thu, 27 Dec 2012

We all know how safe Volvo cars are, but a European junkyard has decided to put it to the test by crashing, jumping and rolling the life out of an 850 wagon. While government tests use automated systems to crash new cars, the guys in this video do so with a driver behind the wheel. Aside from what looks like a safety harness and roll bar for the driver, it seems like this car is otherwise bone stock.
Not wanting to spoil the fun for you, we'll just point out that at the start of the video, our hero car looks pretty flawless, and by the end, well, let's just say the Craigslist ad for the car would say "needs some body work." Check out the video below to watch some stunts that even the Duke Boys might shy away from.

Volvo's pedestrian airbags may already be on their way out

Sun, 01 Dec 2013

As proof of just how quickly automotive technology can advance, just check out the Volvo V40. Developed with an external airbag aimed at better protecting pedestrians in the event of a collision, this innovative safety device could be phased out soon in place of more advanced active safety technologies like pedestrian detection and auto braking.
Go Auto had a chance to talk to Volvo senior VP Lex Kerssmakers at the Tokyo Motor Show, and he suggested that the V40's under-hood airbag will not be used on the next-gen XC90 and might not even be continued on non-SUV models. The passive airbag was designed to deploy at speeds of less than 31 miles per hour to help limit head injuries to pedestrians, but new active technologies are designed to prevent collisions in the first place.
The interview also reveals some details about the new XC90, such as the inclusion of a plug-in hybrid system and the debut of a new safety technology. Kerssmakers told Go Auto that a new Volvo concept will be unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show in January, but it won't be for the XC90.
