If you are here, then you probably know ALL about this Limited Edition Phaeton. Only offered here for three years, this utterly fantastic automobile is still available across the pond!! Car lovers everywhere get weak in the knees when one like this becomes available. Carfax tells us that this was originally a company owned car that spent most of it's life in Arizona, where we were lucky enough to find, and acquire it....Yes, we had it shipped all the way across the country!!! Carfax tells us that it was always Dealer serviced!! It runs and drives utterly spectacular!!!! Yes, the TPMS light is on, as is with almost all of these cars. Also the center A/C panel is a bit sticky, and sometimes needs a "push". All else functions as designed, and it is one of the NICEST cars that I have had the pleasure to own and drive. You can tell by the condition of the bright and shiny paint that this Beauty was Always Garaged and Pampered!!

Notice the small mark just to the right of the license plate.

There are also some slight scuffs on the corner.

What an absolutely spectacular Phaeton!!

The Bolero Beige Paint Just Glistens in the sun. Pretty much the same way it did 10 years ago!! A few minor nicks and scratches from normal usage, but certainly nothing to deter from the Beauty and Originality of This W12!!

In this Photo you can see a small mark on the front bumper. You will also notice that there are park assist sensors here too!

As I'm sure you all know, the attention to detail in these cars is second to none. The wood is amazing!

The sumptuous leather interior is in fantastic condition and is certainly commensurate with the low mileage and excellent care our Gorgeous Phaeton has seen throughout its 10 year life. The leather is totally original with no dying done anywhere. Even the carpets are excellent.

There are no weather cracks in the dash pad, and the burl wood glistens brightly! Driver and Passenger SRS Airbags for your safety.

The four Luxurious 4 seater is extremely rare, with only 49 examples sold in the US with the W12 in 2004.

I believe that this was the most Luxurious Volkswagen Sedan ever built. Everywhere you look there is a special attention to detail and craftsmanship!!

VW recalls 1.1M Jetta, Beetle models in US, China over suspension fears

Volkswagen is recalling about 1.1 million vehicles in China and North America in a newly announced campaign affecting the rear suspensions on some models. For the US, the action covers about 442,265 vehicles, including 400,602 examples of its 2011-2013 Jetta and 41,663 units of the 2012-2013 Beetle and Beetle Convertible. According to Reuters, the recall affects a further 126,000 vehicles in Canada and about 581,090 in China, including related market-specific models like the Sagitar.
The problem can occur if the affected models have a collision to the rear or the side-rear of the vehicle. It's then possible for the trailing arms on the torsion-beam rear suspension to be damaged. If the harm isn't noticed, then the part could fracture while driving. Obviously, a broken rear suspension is going to have an adverse effect on handling.
To fix things, VW dealers will inspect the trailing arms on the models, and they will all receive a sheetmetal part that will make a distinctive sound if broken in the future. If already damaged, the entire torsion beam will be replaced. Obviously, this work will be done at no charge to owners.

Volkswagen Golf Wagon caught completely uncovered

Without a lot of information to go with them, our camera-toting spies have captured some new images of a Volkswagen Golf wagon variant that is almost completely undisguised. In fact, the one piece of camouflage on the tidy wagon would probably have gone unnoticed to most casual viewers. Look closely at the rear three-quarter view of the car and you'll notice that the apparent taillight clusters are actually fakes - the outline of the real units is faintly visible behind the blue bodywork and the sticker-like fake taillights.
It's a good guess then, that this Golf wagon (called a Golf Kombi by our spy photographer) is a prototype that's pretty far along in the development cycle for Volkswagen. We can't be sure what impact this will have on the company's small wagon offering here in the US, but we'd be pretty surprised if something very like this didn't end up as the next Jetta SportWagen. We might well have more information on that front, after we visit Geneva next week.

European car sales up 8% in February

Three weeks ago an analyst increased projections for European car sales this year, expecting them to climb three percent compared to last year instead of 2.7 percent. That number is a postive sign after years of hard times but it turns out February was especially good, overall European sales climbing eight percent on a wave of southern European recovery and discounts - and this comes after five months of gains including January's 7.2-percent jump over the year before.
The only country of Europe's five largest markets to post a decline was France, just as it did in January, Germany, the UK and Italy posting solid double-digit numbers, Spain rocking the charts with an 18-percent increase because of a government program to encourage trade-ins.
The only brand to miss the wave was Volkswagen, dropping 0.8 percent as it watched the double-digit growth at sister brands Audi, Seat and Skoda lift the Volkswagen Group sales up by seven-percent. Peugeot overcame flat sales at Citroën to improve the group by 3.5 percent, BMW and the Mercedes-Benz/Smart combo rose by four percent, the Fiat group jumped 5.8 percent, Ford was up 11 percent, the Renault Group 11.5 percent, General Motors 12 percent and the Toyota clan by 14 percent.
