This Passat is in excellent condition.  We bought it new from Frank Boucher Volkswagen in Janesville and they have done all the routine maintenance on the vehicle; including the 40K mile mandatory maintenance, which VW requires be done by an authorized Volkswagen Dealer to keep the factory warranty valid.   This cost close to $700 and they go through the whole vehicle, change the fluids, filters, run diagnostics, check timing belt, rotate tires…basically every maintenance item that could be done, is done.  We also had them detail the vehicle as well…which is where we took the pictures at.  So if you are looking for a TDI Passat that looks brand new, without the brand new price…this is it!

This is the SEL model, so it is fully loaded with all the options…Navigation, Hands-free Phone, Heated Seats, etc…  It also has all-weather floor mats that have been in it since we bought it.  

Not sure what else to say about the car, we love it and planned to have it for a long time; however my wife was just awarded a company vehicle and so we have no need to keep an extra car around.

I made a mistake in the original listing, and I'm having issues trying to change the heading...I was certain this was an SEL, and after getting some feedback and digging up the original Window Sticker, I found out it is in fact an SE with Sunroof & Navi.

I am adding a photo of the orginal sticker, I wasn't trying to scam anybody it was just a mistake on my part.  It still has everything listed, and comes with a warranty good until 12/23/17 or 85,025 miles.

Brazil contemplates safety exemption for VW Kombi as it goes out of production today [w/poll]

Brazil: the country of carnivals, indescribable beauty adjacent to abject poverty, Ayrton Senna and old Volkswagen models. Only they're not old - they're new, they're just based on old designs. The original Beetle continued production there long after it had been phased out elsewhere, but the original Kombi van has lasted much longer. That ends today, however, with the iconic VW Microbus ambling out of production on the last day of 2013.
VW kept making the van in Brazil with the original air-cooled 1.2-liter boxer four until 2005, after which the original design was updated with a 1.4-liter water-cooled engine. Today, however, it ultimately falls prey to safety regulations that mandate that all vehicles - no matter how old their design - need to have airbags and ABS, forcing Volkswagen do Brasil to cease production of the Microbus after a 56-year production run. But the latest word is that the Kombi (as it's presently known) could get a stay of execution - or at least a resurrection in short order.
According to reports, the Brazilian government is looking into granting the Type 2 Microbus an exemption from said safety regulations, reasoning that the van was designed long before the advent of airbags and ABS. If the measure goes through, the Kombi Last Edition (pictured above) could prove not to be the last at all. Lamborghini and Bentley may hold off on SUVs so VW can conserve cash

After surveying the European economic scene, Volkswagen may have decided now is not the time to launch utility vehicles with Bentley and Lamborghini badges. Bentley officials say they will continue to push for support for the EXP 9 F and Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelman has said planning for the Urus will continue until VW tells it to stop.
That decision could come on November 23, when VW's board will vote on the company's budget for equipment, factories and vehicles. With VW's sales slowing and the Euro economy slumping further, some industry watchers say the company is more likely to build its cash reserves than to introduce super-expensive luxury SUVs or crossovers.
"Such vehicles are anything but obligatory during a crisis," says Frankfurt-based Equinet AG analyst Tim Schuldt in a new Automotive News Europe story. "Delaying their launch would be no drama but help save costs."

TN politicians may push to end VW incentives if plant goes union

Volkswagen's Chattanooga Assembly Plant is scheduled to vote on whether to unionize in the coming days, but Tennessee state lawmakers are threatening to deny future tax subsidies to the factory, if the vote is successful. The factory is currently the only Volkswagen plant worldwide that is not unionized.
The states's Republican lawmakers have been particularly vocal against the union vote. Tennessee state senator Bo Watson said during a press conference that VW would have a "very tough time" with future incentives if the vote were successful, according to Automotive News. Tennessee House Majority Leader Gerald McCormick said the "heavy hand" of the UAW is not welcome there. VW has drawn criticism from both sides because it has allowed both pro- and anti-union groups to speak to workers and hand out leaflets.
Roughly 1,500 factory employees will vote on whether to unionize from February 12-14. If successful, the Chattanooga factory would be the first in the US organized under a German-style works council system where white- and blue-collar workers directly negotiate factory issues with the company's management.
