German Engineering Second owner, non-smoked, no accidents, and certified. I have both car key fobs and both are in very good condition and no issues, have brand new batteries inside them. I also attached the car information sheet that was on the window when I purchased the car. Exterior No issues, no problems, no dings or dents. Paint still in excellent shape with no fading. Trim is in excellent shape. Only a couple of light paints chips from highway travel about the size of a period (.) and might be 4-5 of them at best. Located on the very front part of the hood. Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus tires which are Volkswagen factory standard equipment. Over 50% life left. Interior All bells and whistles this model could have. No fading, no cracking. Leather is in excellent shape. Dashboard and all electronics are top notch and no issues. 6 CD multi-disc player/MP3 player. Very clean inside. Under the hood Turbo boosts. No leaking or spooling issues. Engine has no oil leaks, water leaks, or coolant leaks. No electrical problems. The engine does have an engine light that comes and goes. Been serviced by 2 Volkswagen dealerships. One said there was no issue and the other said there was an issue but could not be resolved and was considered minor. It's a random engine misfire that comes and goes. Idles perfect. Accelerates perfect. Can only be felt above 30MPH...only at constant speed...and only if it is occurring. I've driven it for the last 6 months like this and see zero reliability issues. Gas mileage is still great and car still drives great. If you clear the code, the misfire even goes away. The code will eventually return and sporadically come and go. It's not mechanical. It's probably a $20 sensor of some sort somewhere. Serious inquiries only please. Local pick-up only. I am available for view all late afternoons and evenings and all weekend. Thank you. |

VW makes $23K on every Porsche sold, more than Bentley or Lamborghini
Fri, 14 Mar 2014It's a good time to be in the luxury car business. In Volkswagen Group's financial report for the 2013 fiscal year, it is revealed that that Porsche enjoyed an operating margin of 18 percent. That means the Stuttgart brand made on average about $23,200 per car sold, according to BusinessWeek. Bentley wasn't far behind, and Audi (which was combined with Lamborghini) posted a 10.1 percent margin. This compares to only around 2.9 percent for the Volkswagen brand.
"Luxury brands are on fire," said Dave Sullivan, an industry analyst at AutoPacific. He said that the average profit margin is between six and eight percent. Brands like Porsche and Bentley have the benefit of competing in rarefied markets. Buyers looking at one their vehicles have fewer models to shop against and don't care as much about price. They can also charge more for options, which further boosts income, according to BusinessWeek.
In a way, we should be more impressed by the continued success from Audi. Its models generally have direct competitors in every segment from the other premium automakers. Plus, their buyers aren't the captains of industry who are shopping for a Bentley. Still, the Four Rings is leading rivals in sales so far this year.
Volkswagen New Midsize Coupe Concept is an aspirational Jetta
Mon, 21 Apr 2014Meet the Volkswagen baby CC. Okay, that's not really it's name (VW calls it the New Midsize Coupe Concept), but this sleek, four-door coupe draws more than a little inspiration from the CC while riding on VW's MQB platform.
It's a looker, we think, and is an eye-pleasing departure from the bland styling of the current Jetta. The sleeker front end is complemented by a wider body overall (it's wider than a Passat), while the more sporting roofline and the sharp rear fascia gives the New Midsize Coupe a decidedly sporting character. LED head- and taillights add a bit more personality to this already stylish design.
Thanks to its 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder, it should get along rather sportingly, as well. The run to 62 miles per hour takes just 6.5 seconds thanks to the 217 horsepower on offer. A seven-speed dual-clutch automatic is also fitted, and contributes to an estimated 37 miles per gallon.
UAW angered over VW workers getting right to defend anti-union vote
Thu, 13 Mar 2014The United Auto Workers have called a decision by the National Labor Relations Board allowing anti-UAW employees at the Volkswagen factory in Chattanooga the right to defend voting down unionization at the plant "an outrage."
You'll recall that the union was defeated by a vote of 712 to 626 in a contentious February election. The UAW claims the outcome was unfairly swayed by pro-business, anti-union forces, including Senator Bob Corker and political advocate Grover Norquist.
This new decision by the NLRB essentially gives workers backed by the anti-UAW National Right to Work Legal Defense Foundation and Southern Momentum a formal voice in the impending hearing on the UAW's appeal of the vote.
