Absolutely Stunning New Beetle on 2040-cars

As you can see from the
pictures the car is stunning. No disappointments with this car. It looks better in person then it does in the pictures. The wheels are brand new Drag 17x7
with brand new Sport tires sized 225/45/17.
Metallic dark green with a metallic black roof paint job professionally applied in February of 2014. Absolutely beautiful, not a scratch on it, and a 3 year warranty on paint. Well below average miles for its year... The car drives very well, stops well with it's 4 wheel disk brakes. Goes well with it's 2.0 four cylinder engine and 5 speed manual transmission. Clutch operation is nice and light. I average an honest 30mpg with this during my 35 mile daily commute. The interior is in amazing shape for it's age. The factory stereo works, and has the stock 6 disk CD changer in the trunk that also works. All gauges work great, no check engine lights.
During my ownership the car has had the following brand new parts: Starter, Catalytic converter, A-arms with bushings, Ball joints, Struts, Drop Springs, Wheels, Tires, Paint, Wiper blades and various service items. Previous owner completed required timing belt and water pump change (have receipt).
Note: The A/C is currently not blowing cold - This why I've priced it so low..

Silverado HD, Touareg V10 TDI face off in diesel tug-of-war
Sun, 30 Dec 2012A couple weeks ago, we watched a Chevrolet Silverado get dominated by a Dodge Ram Heavy Duty in a fullsize pickup tug-of-war, but in that truck's defense, Chevy's Vortec gas engine was no match for the torquey Cummins turbo diesel. For our next round of vehicular tug-of-war, a Duramax-powered Silverado HD takes on Volkswagen Touareg V10 TDI.
Now, on paper, putting the Duramax V8's 365 horsepower and 660 pound-feet of torque up against the V10's 310 hp and 553 lb-ft looks like an easy win for the Bowtie, but unfortunately, this battle has a similar result as the Dodge versus Chevy video, with the Silverado smoking its tires trying to move forward as it gets pulled backwards. Put another way: YouTube 2, Chevy Silverado 0.
It just goes to show, though, that big tires, bolt-on fender flares and goofy smoke stacks don't improve your towing abilities. Besides, what did the Silverado driver expect when the Touareg V10 TDI has towed a Boeing 747 in the past?
New VW Beetle Convertible ad needs no disguise

Ask someone if they'd drive a hardtop in near freezing temperatures with all the windows down and they might not even answer, thinking the question so ridiculous. Give that same person a convertible they love and you might just have to ask them to please put the top up even when snow is on the ground.
That guy has to take precautions to enjoy his proclivities, and as this new ad for the Volkswagen Beetle Convertible shows, not everyone understands. Have a watch below, and note that there's just one woman in the minute-long spot, and she's nowhere near the car. Seriously, why didn't VW run this commercial during the Super Bowl?
Audi CVT suit settlement given green light, 64,000 cars covered
Mon, 07 Oct 2013Audi drivers, listen up. If you bought or leased a 2002-06 model-year A4 or A6 with a factory-installed Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) that failed, you may be entitled to reimbursement under a recently settled class-action lawsuit with corporate parent Volkswagen.
According to Automotive News, the settlement covers about 64,000 vehicles and alleges that "manufacturing and design problems caused the transmissions to fail and left owners stuck with repair costs." While the suit also argues Audi was aware of these issues (going so far as to hide that knowledge from consumers), the settlement stops short of acknowledging any wrongdoing by the German automaker.
Audi drivers are eligible for a cash reimbursement if their CVT repairs occurred within 10 years or 100,000 miles of the date they bought or leased the vehicle before June 19, 2013. To be eligible for compensation, drivers must submit a claim form (found here) with supporting documents by November 18.
