I built this car for my daughter to drive to college in in 2010. I bought the car from California with 59,000 original miles. It had been sitting a long time and I started replacing parts and replaced the entire brake system, new rotors new pads. Then I replaced all the hoses and belts, all new plugs and plug wires. The AC got a new compressor and dryer along with new belts and hoses.. I put a new electronic ignition in it also, It has power windows and all options. My daughter got sick and the car sat in my garage for the next 4 years. I maintained and started the car regarley and it sat in my garage.
When I pulled it out to sell it two weeks ago to get it ready to sell I found that something had spilled on the paint and it looked terrible and because I am so anal about cars decided to have it repainted, so it has brand new paint in the original color of Royal Blue metallic. The car is just to nice a car to let get out of shape and the paint job is really really nice, it makes the car look brand new. So if you are looking for an awesome car that is like brand new look no farther. I have really considered keeping it but it was my daughters car and I have to let go of it as she will never be able to drive it. I built it with love and care for my little girl and if you are looking for one for your child this is the car. its safe and dependable. |

Volkswagen Group, BMW Z4 top Total Value Awards by Strategic Vision
Tue, 11 Dec 2012It was just nine months ago that Strategic Vision announced its 2011 Total Value Awards, but you don't have to wait until next year for the 2012 awards. The Volkswagen Group keeps its lead as the number one brand, with seven products taking top category spots: Golf, Jetta Wagon, CC, Eos and Audi A3 Wagon, Q5 and Q7. Strategic Vision says "true innovation" - "rich and impactful, intuitive, motivational, in-depth and is able to trigger description by the user in great specificity" - is the open secret of the brands with the strongest showings. Results are culled from 77,153 owners covering more than 350 new cars bought between September of 2011 and 2012 ranked in the Total Value Index (TVI).
Other notable winners are Hyundai-Kia following VW in the brand category and having the Hyundai Elantra and Kia Sorento among category winners, the BMW Z4 taking the premium roadster category and the highest overall score of any vehicle, the Chevrolet Volt continuing to gather silverware in the Special Category, nabbing the second-highest score of all and representative of "nearly perfect innovation," and Chrysler and Dodge being most improved.

J.D. Power customer survey of dealers counts Cadillac, Buick as big winners
Mon, 14 Apr 2014Cadillac and Buick have taken the trophies in J.D. Power's latest Customer Service Index Study examining satisfaction with dealer service. Surveying more than 90,000 owners and lessees of 2009-2013 model-year cars, the study found that those with pre-paid maintenance packages were ten percent more likely to buy their next car from the same brand.
Dealer satisfaction scores have improved overall, Cadillac nabbed the luxury segment ahead of Audi and Lexus, taking the crown that Lexus held last year. Buick keeps the mass-market dealer satisfaction win in the family, finishing ahead of Volkswagen and last year's winner GMC. The study also found that service department use of tablets increased customer satisfaction, as did "best practices" like "providing helpful advice." Who knew?

TN politicians may push to end VW incentives if plant goes union
Tue, 11 Feb 2014Volkswagen's Chattanooga Assembly Plant is scheduled to vote on whether to unionize in the coming days, but Tennessee state lawmakers are threatening to deny future tax subsidies to the factory, if the vote is successful. The factory is currently the only Volkswagen plant worldwide that is not unionized.
The states's Republican lawmakers have been particularly vocal against the union vote. Tennessee state senator Bo Watson said during a press conference that VW would have a "very tough time" with future incentives if the vote were successful, according to Automotive News. Tennessee House Majority Leader Gerald McCormick said the "heavy hand" of the UAW is not welcome there. VW has drawn criticism from both sides because it has allowed both pro- and anti-union groups to speak to workers and hand out leaflets.
Roughly 1,500 factory employees will vote on whether to unionize from February 12-14. If successful, the Chattanooga factory would be the first in the US organized under a German-style works council system where white- and blue-collar workers directly negotiate factory issues with the company's management.
