great running '69 convertible for restoration. floors have been patched on both sides from the inside, but vehicle retains original floors. one rust hole near center of slope that rear seat back sits against. rear luggage area is intact and fine. no carpet. car starts runs great! brakes work! e-brake, too. comes with 4 sharp turbine rims and new tires and one bare original rim and hubcap for a spare. hole on passenger side of spare well. no radio. top needs fabric and headliner. i have all parts pieces for top mechanism. top mechanism moves freely up and down and is installed comes with original boot. it is a semi automatic. car should have engine removed and a new clutch plate should be installed. will tow on current tires fine. new fuel pump. new transmission hose. recently tuned up. $750 no refundable deposit if your offer is accepted. balance due within 4 days. VW redoes A-ha's 'Take On Me' music video

Volkswagen has been responsible for its fair share of witty, clever commercials. "Tiny Vader" might be the most popular, but somehow, we think this newest spot will find a big audience. VW delivers not so much a cover, but a reimagining, of 1980s Norwegian pop band A-ha's famous music video for "Take On Me."
The original opens with an animated motorcycle race, which is revealed to be part of a comic book. VW's version replaces the motorcycle with a Passat, which strikes us as an oddly sober choice when there are cars like the GTI and Beetle in VW's portfolio. But never mind that - take a look down below for the entire 46-second spot. For reference, we've also included the original music video. And if you aren't a fan of the musical stylings of A-ha, just think, VW's choice of 1980s music could have been much worse.

VW says it has sold over 100,000 TDI diesels in America this year

Volkswagen Group of America has lit oil-burning fireworks to celebrate the sales of more than 100,000 TDI Clean Diesel vehicles in the US between its VW and Audi brands this year. According to VW, that means it is responsible for more than 75 percent of diesel-engined cars and SUVs sold here - perhaps not surprising when the two brands offer a total of 12 diesel models.
What might be surprising is that the number of diesels isn't far off the estimated sales of 90,000 battery electric vehicles and PHEVs, with 15,000 of those accounted for by the Tesla Model S, another 12,000 or so being the Toyota Prius PHEV.
VW's keen to play up the ease of making diesel part of your life, stressing that it doesn't need any change to the refueling infrastructure and that "this is a technology delivering real answers to society's concerns about fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions without compromises."
