1976 TR6, mimosa and chestnut. I am the second owner. It has been stored inside it's entire life. The car was purchased on March 24, (today is the 37th anniversary!) 1976, from P.J. Kaufman Co., Inc. in Thiensville,Wisconsin. Total price was $6,656.00. Options included AM/FM stereo, tonneau cover, Michelin X radials, side mirrors, and rustproofing. It was purchased by a gentleman for his wife. She had trouble shifting because a TR's clutch requires a fair amount of pressure and so it did not get driven much. They ended up taking it to their winter home in Arizona and there it stayed until they moved back permanently to Wisconsin. They evidently parked it on the left side of the garage because there are a few minor door dings on the passenger door! It now has a little over 27,000 miles. I have owned it about 4 years only and just don't get to enjoy it as much as I should because of where it is; on a lift in my garage. I have decided to let it go, not out of necessity, but because I just have too much else going on. The previous owner had replaced the top before he sold it because the back window was brittle and I have since changed it again to the correct top with reflective stripe from Roadster Factory. Michelin Red lines (newer) are on the car and I have 2 more NOS ones that go with the car. I put a Moto-Lita wood steering wheel on it, changed to a correct British Leyland AM/FM Multiplex radio, replaced the outside mirrors, and added Coco Mats. 2 rear speakers were installed at time of original purchase. The original radio and wheel go with the car too as well as the service interval counter and washer bottle/pump which I replaced with NOS ones. I have had differential bushings and some front end work done too. There has never been any rust in this vehicle. I replaced seat foam in one seat, the other has not been done but the new foams from Roadster Factory go with the car. It sits a lot and there are a few minor oil leaks that show up over the winters, but if I drive it, no problems there; I have had a few seals replaced too just to help. The hoses were replaced with the green ones when I got it for looks. The car runs great, shifts great and stops great. I have driven it once over 200 miles to Omaha for a British car show with no problems. The valves have not been done so I use the lead additive. The original paint is excellent and chrome is pit-free and excellent, save for the few door dents I mentioned and a rough corner on the back left bumper ( I have another left side but have not put it on and it too goes with the car). Interior is original with no tears. The passenger headrest has been redone from the time I took these pics last fall so it now looks like new instead of lumpy as shown in the pics. Trunk matting the same. There are no excuses on this car. A lot of original paperwork comes with the car too. This is a rare find,a TR6 that is original and rust free, that has been very well taken care of, and spent 33 years with the same owner. Please contact me with any questions or any additional picture of something you might want to see. You are free to come and look at the car at any time. You are solely responsible for getting it to your location, and it is being sold as is. $1000.00 is due at the time of sale and the rest can be paid at the time of pickup or another mutually agreed to time and/or place but payment needs to be complete by April 10, 2013.

Jaguar F Type V6 S vs Triumph Street Triple R in open-air track attack

Sun, 21 Sep 2014

Typically, these track battle videos pair up car against car or, in more disparate circumstances, car versus crossover, as we saw the other day. While the outcome of that battle was quite predictable, what'll happen when an equally fetching (and fast) four-wheeler is put up against one of the icons of the two-wheeled world? Evo just had to find out.
Matching up a Jaguar F-Type V6 S Convertible against a Triumph Street Triple R is at least more of an even fight than the last battle between the Porsche Cayman GTS and Macan Turbo. The Triumph has a 675-cc engine to work with, and is very light. Meanwhile, the Jag has a thumping 380-horsepower, 3.0-liter, supercharged V6 to haul about it's considerably heftier heft. Who will come out on top?
You'll need to watch the full video to find out.
