Car was ground up restored by the original owner in the late 90's thru early 2000's and driven very little after. I purchased the car last fall and went over it to make sure it was reliable. I replaced the points, dist cap, rotor, spark plugs, plug wires, fuel filter, all radiator and heater hoses, water pump, thermostat and radiator. I am the second owner and I have a ton of documentation including the original invoice, window sticker, and an inch thick of receipts dating back to the warranty work done on the car since new. Looks like miles since the resto is around 1K miles total.
Very solid underneath, solid trailing arm mounts, t-shirt area, rear diff upper mounts reinforced, not a drip of fluid of any kind leaking from her. NO undercarriage or frame rust! Runs out great, tight car, shifts fine, clutch is good, holds 50lbs oil pressure at hot idle. No overheating issues.
Interior is all new with exception of seats which appear original and are in very good condition. It does need the passenger side lower crash pad and I have a replacement. the wood dash is not perfect but is nice and I see no need to replace it at this time. Has a "back in the day" AM-FM cassette that sort of works...lol.  New top, boot and toneau cover. The top is the correct top with the reflective stripes. Not a spot of rust on the car, was always a fair weather car and stored inside all of it's life. Original color is BRG, during resto it was painted a shade or two lighter green, and the underhood area is darker than the exterior of the car. The paint and finish body work is not show quality, but presentable as is. If you want a show winner, it would need to have the exterior redone and I had an estimate of $2K to do just that. I have boxes full of spare parts and original parts that go with the car. Nice heavy custom fit car cover included, full set of service manuals and lots of original press releases, advertising, etc...it all goes with the car. I have purchased a Jaguar XK and need the barn space so this TR6 has to leave.
I can do a walk around over the phone if you so desire, and can show the car if you are local enough to come see it. I'm sure I've forgotten something, so ask any questions you may have.

Jaguar F Type V6 S vs Triumph Street Triple R in open-air track attack

Sun, 21 Sep 2014

Typically, these track battle videos pair up car against car or, in more disparate circumstances, car versus crossover, as we saw the other day. While the outcome of that battle was quite predictable, what'll happen when an equally fetching (and fast) four-wheeler is put up against one of the icons of the two-wheeled world? Evo just had to find out.
Matching up a Jaguar F-Type V6 S Convertible against a Triumph Street Triple R is at least more of an even fight than the last battle between the Porsche Cayman GTS and Macan Turbo. The Triumph has a 675-cc engine to work with, and is very light. Meanwhile, the Jag has a thumping 380-horsepower, 3.0-liter, supercharged V6 to haul about it's considerably heftier heft. Who will come out on top?
You'll need to watch the full video to find out.
