This 1973 TR6 is a very original and honest car. It is truly rust free and is a fantastic daily driver. The previous owner had the car for over 20 years and drove the car very little. The engine was rebuilt with a fast road cam by an experienced Triumph garage about 5 years ago. The engine runs very strong burns no oil and leaks just enough to remind you of the cars blood line. The hydraulics were replaced a little over a year ago and the brakes are good all around. The Carbs were also rebuilt with a master kit  along with a new original style fuel pump. I have converted the car to pentix pointless ignition new plugs and plug wires. It also has a spin on oil filter and a newer gear reduction starter.

The car is in overall excellent condition the car had a quality re-spray several years ago and the paint shines like new. The interior is great with new dash, refurbished gauges. All gauges are working as are all the dash lights. The seats were redone with original style covers from British Victoria. The original type Robins top is older but in great shape with no rips or tears and all the plastic windows are clear and the reflective tape still in place. Also have the parade boot and tonneau cover and original red line spare tire  The electrics are sound and all lights in working order. The odo broke at 79k several years ago so true mileage is unknown. However the previous owner estimated he drove the car less then 10k during his ownership and less then 1k since the motor rebuild. By looking at the car you can see that this is a fair estimate and that the car has been well cared for over its 40 years.

This is a numbers matching car supported by a copy of the manufacturers statement of origin and Heritage Cert. The car is unmolested and sits in original condition.  If you are looking for a high quality TR6 that is a solid driver that will make you proud this car deserves a look.

Jaguar F Type V6 S vs Triumph Street Triple R in open-air track attack

Sun, 21 Sep 2014

Typically, these track battle videos pair up car against car or, in more disparate circumstances, car versus crossover, as we saw the other day. While the outcome of that battle was quite predictable, what'll happen when an equally fetching (and fast) four-wheeler is put up against one of the icons of the two-wheeled world? Evo just had to find out.
Matching up a Jaguar F-Type V6 S Convertible against a Triumph Street Triple R is at least more of an even fight than the last battle between the Porsche Cayman GTS and Macan Turbo. The Triumph has a 675-cc engine to work with, and is very light. Meanwhile, the Jag has a thumping 380-horsepower, 3.0-liter, supercharged V6 to haul about it's considerably heftier heft. Who will come out on top?
You'll need to watch the full video to find out.
