1973 Triumph Tr6 Convertible on 2040-cars

Year:1973 Mileage:87354
Location:

Roanoke, Virginia, United States

Roanoke, Virginia, United States

Here is a 1973 Triumph TR6.  This car was completely restored by the owner.  The body was taken  off the frame, frame was stripped and painted, new body mounts fitted.  The body received a professional show quality paint job.  Chassis was repaired and refurbished as necessary.  All new suspension bushings front and rear.  New heavy duty rear shocks and springs.  The owner was meticulous in searching out NOS parts rather than any reproduction pieces available.  NOS wood dash, dash top, wheels, trim rings, dash under panels and switch plinth.  All new interior, tan carpet with chestnut piping, chestnut seats and trim panels, chestnut boot cover.  Black top with factory reflective trim, and black tonneau cover.  Gauges were replaced or refurbished as necessary, same for all switches and controls.  New column switches, and knob set for center controls.  New windshield , all new windshield rubbers, and new side glass and all channels in the doors.  This restoration was a labor of love for the owner, but Webb Motors closely followed and assisted in the restoration, with parts, advice and extra hands when needed.  The owner had the valve cover, air cleaner housing, and various metal parts nickel plated.  Car is beautiful inside and out, runs and drives great.  The current owner bought this car in 1975, and it has been in the same family ever since.  Car was restored in 2009 and has been driven only 1500 miles since then, stored in a climate-controlled garage the entire time.  Has ALL receipts and paperwork since then, including correspondence from British Leyland (remember the headlight switch recall?)  This car is show quality and show ready.  You would be hard pressed to find a nicer TR6 on the market.

This is a consignment car.  The car is for sale locally, and we reserve the right to end the auction early.

Please call with any questions.

Webb Motors has been a British car dealer since the 1950's, still here in the same location.  7106 Williamson Rd., Roanoke, VA 24019.  Phone number 540-362-3923 Mon-Fri 9 to 5.  webbmotors@hotmail.com

Jaguar F Type V6 S vs Triumph Street Triple R in open-air track attack

Sun, 21 Sep 2014

Typically, these track battle videos pair up car against car or, in more disparate circumstances, car versus crossover, as we saw the other day. While the outcome of that battle was quite predictable, what'll happen when an equally fetching (and fast) four-wheeler is put up against one of the icons of the two-wheeled world? Evo just had to find out.
Matching up a Jaguar F-Type V6 S Convertible against a Triumph Street Triple R is at least more of an even fight than the last battle between the Porsche Cayman GTS and Macan Turbo. The Triumph has a 675-cc engine to work with, and is very light. Meanwhile, the Jag has a thumping 380-horsepower, 3.0-liter, supercharged V6 to haul about it's considerably heftier heft. Who will come out on top?
You'll need to watch the full video to find out.
