Up for auction is one of the best British Roadsters to ever be built. The car for sale is the Triumph TR-6. These are great handling, drop top fun little cars. This car is equipped with an in-line 2.5 liter straight 6 engine that is very responsive. The vehicle being presented is a 1973 example and is a complete car. This car was originally purchased as a restoration project. However, spacial issues are the force behind selling the vehicle. The previous owner of the car had the interior completely redone in black vinyl. The interior is nearly perfect, it just needs to be cleaned up a bit. The dashboard is crack-free and the convertible top is in great shape. Just once again, needs to be cleaned. The carburetors and air cleaner were taken apart and cleaned. The engine runs very well. It is a great little roadster, but it has a few issues. There may be some through rust on the frame. This was said by the previous owner. Also, as seen in the photos, it has some rust over the rear portion of the car. The great aspect about this project car is that it comes with sheet metal. These sheet metal piece were purchased from Moss Motors a few years ago. With this car comes new rear quarter panels, both left and right. The closing panels, for the left and right, and the rear lower valance. As a whole package, this sheet metal is at a deep discount.  This would make a great project car because all of the pieces needed are included! Six-cylinder British roadsters are climbing in value. Don't miss out on an opportunity for a great car! Buyer agrees to arrange and pay for shipping of the vehicle. If needed, help with loading the car will be available. Please feel free to ask any questions. Thanks for looking and happy bidding!

Jaguar F Type V6 S vs Triumph Street Triple R in open-air track attack

Sun, 21 Sep 2014

Typically, these track battle videos pair up car against car or, in more disparate circumstances, car versus crossover, as we saw the other day. While the outcome of that battle was quite predictable, what'll happen when an equally fetching (and fast) four-wheeler is put up against one of the icons of the two-wheeled world? Evo just had to find out.
Matching up a Jaguar F-Type V6 S Convertible against a Triumph Street Triple R is at least more of an even fight than the last battle between the Porsche Cayman GTS and Macan Turbo. The Triumph has a 675-cc engine to work with, and is very light. Meanwhile, the Jag has a thumping 380-horsepower, 3.0-liter, supercharged V6 to haul about it's considerably heftier heft. Who will come out on top?
You'll need to watch the full video to find out.
