This is a Project that can be used as a Daily Driver. Navy blue with tan interior. This is not a $12000-$18000 TR6. If you are looking for a show car, THIS IS NOT THE CAR FOR YOU. But, if you want a running, nice looking(gets comments every time i drive it)TR6 and are not concerened with door gaps, bodywork and not PERFECT, then look on:THIS IS NOT A RUST BUCKET!
BODY/PAINT: Paint is shinny and looks OK but is not perfect. Some chips, some checking around rear window & drivers door . Bodywork was done in a couple of spots. Both lower door/fender area need attenttion(see picture as this is worst spot on car)Not sure if needs bodywork or I think rockers were welded in crooked by previous owner...car drives straight but again is not perfect ;Car looks good from a distance. Trailing arms and floor pans( common trouble spots on TR6)completely done by previous owner......they look good! TOP: A couple of years old as per previous owner. No holes or rips looks good outside and inside the car. All snaps are good. Rear two windows very clear and able to see out rear window. ENGINE/TRANNY: Starts quickly, shifts and runs smooth. Valves and Zenith-Stromberg carbs adjusted last year. Oil was changed regularly according to certified mechanic. 85,000 miles.Very good oil pressure WHEELS/TIRES: Michelin redline tires(these are supposed to be on all TR6s any other tires are wrong)great condition! wheels, beauty rings and centercaps(centercaps were repainted) all in good condition. INTERIOR: Seats and carpet redone, very good condition. Dash has very mild cracking but looks good, original British Leyland radio not hooked up(bought good condition kidney pads and replaced old ones, but did not make holes for speakers,ALL gauges work. GLASS: Hairline crack in windsheild. side windows in good shape. I'VE TRIED TO DESCRIBE CAR AS ACCURATELY AS POSSIBLE. COME AND SEE BEFORE BIDDING OR IF YOUR NOT SURE DONT'T BID!!! THIS CAR IS RELISTED DUE TO DEADBEAT NONPAYING BUYER. DONT BID IF YOU WILL NOT PAY $500 PAYPAL DEPOSIT AT END OF AUCTION. NO NEGOTIATION WILL BE DONE AFTER AUCTION CLOSE. CAR IS NOT PERFECT. Jaguar F Type V6 S vs Triumph Street Triple R in open-air track attack
Sun, 21 Sep 2014Typically, these track battle videos pair up car against car or, in more disparate circumstances, car versus crossover, as we saw the other day. While the outcome of that battle was quite predictable, what'll happen when an equally fetching (and fast) four-wheeler is put up against one of the icons of the two-wheeled world? Evo just had to find out.
Matching up a Jaguar F-Type V6 S Convertible against a Triumph Street Triple R is at least more of an even fight than the last battle between the Porsche Cayman GTS and Macan Turbo. The Triumph has a 675-cc engine to work with, and is very light. Meanwhile, the Jag has a thumping 380-horsepower, 3.0-liter, supercharged V6 to haul about it's considerably heftier heft. Who will come out on top?
You'll need to watch the full video to find out.
