ATTENTION COLLECTORS:  Here is a great opportunity to add a rare car to your collection. This all original 1969 Triumph TR-6 is the car you have been looking for! Already being a hard to find year of production, this car is serial # CC25032L, which according to the TR-6 registry, is the 32nd production car on the line (with the first two being prototypes).
This is directly from the TR-6 Registry:
"Your TR6 is actually the 30th production TR6 as CC25001L & CC25002L were prototypes built much earlier and not on the production line. There are currently only 2 TR6 known to be earlier than yours these being CC25017L owned by Len Drake of Drake Motors in Kelowna and CC25026L which was recorded by the VTR as being in their club a number of years ago."
In a later letter: "With regards to information on your TR6 I can tell you is that it was built on the 20th September 1968 which was the  second day of production."

Here is what I know about the car:
I purchased it as a California car from the original owner who was previously a doctor in California and brought it with him when he moved to Ohio. The car had not run in 20 years and was sitting in a garage. I was able to get it running with minimal effort, but the rear brake shoes were stuck to the drums (from sitting) and had to be broken free. It is currently able to roll but the drums had to be broken off completely. To get it functional again you will need wheel cylinders, drums, shoes, and hardware. There are currently knock-off style spoked wheels on the car and as far as I know, EVERYTHING on the car is original from the top down to the tires (which still hold air) and the spare in the truck which is also a spoke style rim. There IS rust present on the car but it is surface rust only. the body and frame are both SOLID WITHOUT HOLES (A wire brush would clean it up). This is the perfect candidate for a restoration project for the British sports car enthusiast or collector, however I do not feel as thought it would take an immense amount of work to make it a driver.

I reserve the right to cancel the auction at any time as I have the car listed locally as well. Buyers are advised to look at the car before placing a bid, as it is being sold AS-IS. Buyer is responsible for pickup and will need to bring a flatbed or trailer. Clear Ohio title in hand with a notary available to transfer it should it sell. Full payment must be made in cash at the time of pickup. Buyers with serious questions can contact me at 440-477-7705 but please do not waste my time as it is very limited. NO TEXTING

Jaguar F Type V6 S vs Triumph Street Triple R in open-air track attack

Sun, 21 Sep 2014

Typically, these track battle videos pair up car against car or, in more disparate circumstances, car versus crossover, as we saw the other day. While the outcome of that battle was quite predictable, what'll happen when an equally fetching (and fast) four-wheeler is put up against one of the icons of the two-wheeled world? Evo just had to find out.
Matching up a Jaguar F-Type V6 S Convertible against a Triumph Street Triple R is at least more of an even fight than the last battle between the Porsche Cayman GTS and Macan Turbo. The Triumph has a 675-cc engine to work with, and is very light. Meanwhile, the Jag has a thumping 380-horsepower, 3.0-liter, supercharged V6 to haul about it's considerably heftier heft. Who will come out on top?
You'll need to watch the full video to find out.
