1961 Triumph Tr3a on 2040-cars
milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States
This beautiful strong driving TR3 was restored over a decade ago by a longtime British enthusiast,he enjoyed it,sorted it,then unfortunately after only driving it a few times after the restoration had to put it in storage due to health reasons. The car has been in the same family since new. Recently the family decided to sell it and I was lucky enough to acquire it. Since the car was sitting in a garage for over ten years, I took it to Bennett Coachworks in downtown Milwaukee to have the car gone through and bring it back to life. Something this beautiful needed to be back on the road. It didn't need a lot of work, as it was put away in perfect condition. The fuel tank and lines were inspected and gone through as well as getting the carburetors in sync. Brake lines, hoses, etc...
The car is now running like a swiss watch.
It has a new top as well as new carpet. The carpet is not yet installed. The interior and chrome are in absolutely fantastic condition. I also have original shop manual as well as many spare parts.
The car drives great and is a total blast around turns. This is a fun car and gets thumbs up from people every time you drive it.

Jaguar F Type V6 S vs Triumph Street Triple R in open-air track attack
Sun, 21 Sep 2014Typically, these track battle videos pair up car against car or, in more disparate circumstances, car versus crossover, as we saw the other day. While the outcome of that battle was quite predictable, what'll happen when an equally fetching (and fast) four-wheeler is put up against one of the icons of the two-wheeled world? Evo just had to find out.
Matching up a Jaguar F-Type V6 S Convertible against a Triumph Street Triple R is at least more of an even fight than the last battle between the Porsche Cayman GTS and Macan Turbo. The Triumph has a 675-cc engine to work with, and is very light. Meanwhile, the Jag has a thumping 380-horsepower, 3.0-liter, supercharged V6 to haul about it's considerably heftier heft. Who will come out on top?
You'll need to watch the full video to find out.
