Original Condition Triumph Spitfire Convertible !! No Reserve !!! on 2040-cars
Greer, South Carolina, United States
This car has been family owned, in a covered garage for over 20 years! It's in amazing, original condition. Solid body without any significant rust. The frame, floor boards, trunk and door panels they all are as solid as the day she was built! Some engine upgrades have been done including aluminum radiator, water pump, alternator, battery and coil have been replaced. Other than that this car is in ORIGINAL condition. There is a little bit of paint crazing on the drivers door and some minor hand touch up on the top rear quarter. I have owned a Spitfire for 30 years and this one is about as originally nice as a 36 year old Spitfire can get. She starts right up, shifts, runs and drives as a Triumph should.
It can be a daily driver or I would prefer that this RARE gem go to a Triumph lover and/or someone who wants to do a full restoration. She is special car with a special history and needs to be owned by someone who understands why this is a special car! If you have never owned a Triumph then I suggest you check out the Triumph owners clubs and the readily available parts catalogs. You will become part of an awesome group of people. There are not many like this left anymore.
I have the leather boot cover, tonneau cover, car cover, original spare and jack still in trunk the way they left the factory. Fairly new tires on it. I have the original manuals and a portfolio file filled with the original paperwork and car history. The title is clean and clear. Just over 58000 original miles!

Typically, these track battle videos pair up car against car or, in more disparate circumstances, car versus crossover, as we saw the other day. While the outcome of that battle was quite predictable, what'll happen when an equally fetching (and fast) four-wheeler is put up against one of the icons of the two-wheeled world? Evo just had to find out.
Matching up a Jaguar F-Type V6 S Convertible against a Triumph Street Triple R is at least more of an even fight than the last battle between the Porsche Cayman GTS and Macan Turbo. The Triumph has a 675-cc engine to work with, and is very light. Meanwhile, the Jag has a thumping 380-horsepower, 3.0-liter, supercharged V6 to haul about it's considerably heftier heft. Who will come out on top?
You'll need to watch the full video to find out.
