1994 Toyota Supra Twin Turbo Hatchback 2-door 3.0l on 2040-cars
Newton, North Carolina, United States
*CAR WILL BE SOLD AS IS CONDITION* I have a 1994 Automatic Toyota Supra TwinTurbo converted to a single turbo. I bought the car about 4 years ago in GA with a clear title; at around 135k miles on the odo and now has 146k and still rising because I still drive it every now and then. I've check the history on this car and it had a couple fender benders from previous owners, then when I had the vader kit on it my brother hit a deer but nothing to salvage the title was fixed by the insurance company. I threw an AB Flug carbon fiber series kit on it that i bought off a guy who order it from japan. The hood cracked but I do have the stock hood. I do all the work myself and put the kit on but there are spots that need to be touched up/fixed and probably repainted. The brake line that runs from the front to the driver side passenger rear cracked so I plugged it in order to drive it around but will need to be replaced but the other brakes still work. The seats are beat up so I threw seat covers on them. The ac still blows cold air. When you first start the car sometimes it smokes but it goes away when you start driving and the car is warmed up. I'm thinking its catless exhaust system collecting moisture then evaporating when warmed. I pretty sure I'm forgetting some stuff but I'm being as truthfull as I can so you dont get any suprises. Toyota again claims Corolla outsold Focus worldwide
Wed, 10 Apr 2013Toyota isn't convinced the Ford Focus was the best-selling nameplate globally last year. Bloomberg reports that for the second time in seven months, both Toyota and Ford are laying claim to the title. Ford cites R.L. Polk & Co. data that says the automaker moved some 1.02 million Focus models in 2012 compared to just 872,774 Toyota Corolla units. But Toyota says the actual figure is closer to 1.16 million Corolla models.
Last year, Ford said it took the sales crown through the fist half of 2012 based on information from IHS Automotive, but Toyota pointed out those numbers left out models like the Corolla-based Matrix and Auris, as well as the Corolla Fielder and Scion xB-based Corolla Rumion. Whether or not Toyota's belief that all these cars should be counted in the Corolla bucket is accurate or not is seemingly up for debate... as is the question of why it matters so much to both parties.
This time around, Ford is holding the line that the Focus is the "best-selling nameplate," with Erich Merkle, a US sales analyst with Ford saying the company's figure is, "a pure number that is verified by a third party." Toyota, meanwhile, has requested clarification from Polk.
Toyota launches new Pixis Epoch kei car in Japan
Sat, 12 May 2012Kei cars may be small in size, but they're big business in Japan. The latest arrival to the category is the little hatch you see above, the Toyota Pixis Epoch.
It's the fourth vehicle produced by the Daihatsu division but sold under the Toyota brand. As with other keis, power comes from a 660cc engine. It's mated to a continuously variable transmission driving either just the front wheels or all four. In both configurations, the Pixis Epoch features a stop-start system that helps its emissions and fuel efficiency figures come in well below even the Japanese government's stringent standards.
The whole package measures just 3,395 mm (133 inches) long, 1,475 mm (58 inches) wide and 1,500 mm (59 inches) tall, but offers a relatively spacious and utile interior, plus a tight turning radius of just 4.4 meters. Pricing ranges from 795,000 to 1.2 million yen - that's less than $10,000 (and no more than $15k). Further details in the press release after the jump.
400-hp Toyota Hybrid-R Concept gets second teaser
Tue, 13 Aug 2013Toyota has released a second teaser of its Hybrid-R Concept, along with an estimation of the show car's power output. Using technology that's "similar to that used by Toyota Racing's TS030 Hybrid race car," the concept is expected to deliver over 400 horsepower.
The press release also mentions that the new concept is based on a current production model. While it's difficult to tell from the sole teaser image of the car's body, rumors are flying that it's related to the Yaris. If that's the case, though, it's difficult to know what to make of this concept. The teaser image is quite dark, but we played around with the exposure and came up with an image that reveals more details about the new concept. Take a look at the related gallery, below, to see the high-exposure image. We'll find out for certain what the Hybrid-R is in a few weeks at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Let us know what you think Toyota's newest concept is in the comments.
