I PURCHASED THIS SUPRA ON 3/20/1987, IT HAS BEEN IN THE BARN SINCE MARCH 1998. I BROUGHT IT OUT WITH ALL INTENTIONS OF RESTORING IT BACK TO THE ORIGINAL CONDITION, BUT MY HONEY DO LIST IS SO LONG THAT I WILL NEVER GET IT DONE, SO IT NEEDS TO GO TO A GOOD HOME. THE ENGINE, TRANSMISSION AND REAR ARE IN FINE SHAPE, THERE IS NO RUST AT ALL ON THE UNDERCARRIAGE, WHAT IT NEEDS TO RUN IS A FUEL PUMP (120.00) AND A CHANGE OF GAS. IT WILL RUN IF FUEL IS SPRAYED INTO THE INTAKE, AND IT RAN VERY WELL WHEN IT WAS PUT INTO THE BARN. THE EXHAUST IS NEW, ALONG WITH THE SPARK PLUGS AND WIRES, EVERYTHING ELSE NEEDS TO BE GONE OVER AND CLEANED UP. IT ALSO NEEDS 2 FRONT FENDERS 125.00 EACH AND A LOT OF TLC, OR YOU CAN RESTORE IT BACK TO IT'S ORIGINAL CONDITION AND HAVE ONE GREAT CAR FROM THE "THRILLING DAYS OF YESTERYEAR" ALL ORIGINAL PARTS ARE THERE EXCEPT FOR THE RADIO AND ANTENNA, BUT THE BOTH WORK WELL, WHEELS ARE ORIGINAL AND IN GOOD CONDITION AND TIRES HAVE 80% TIRES, BUT HAVE BEEN SITTING SINCE 1998, THIS IS A VERY EASY RESTORE AND WOULD MAKE A GREAT FATHER AND SON PROJECT AS YOU CAN TAKE IT TO ANY LEVEL YOU WANT, OF COURSE IT IS BEING SOLD AS IS, AND I DO HAVE IT FOE SALE LOCALLY. Japanese automakers ramping production for renewed American sales

The 2011 earthquake and tsunami that struck Japan took quite the toll on the automotive industry in that nation. Not content to lean on that tragedy as excuse for slagging sales, the Japanese automakers are planning on a major production expansion in North America. The aim is to reclaim the market share lost from the Tsunami-based dip, and overcome a dollar/yen exchange rate that makes exporting to America unprofitable.
Following the Tsunami, Japanese automakers ramped up production in their North American facilities to compensate, but according to Automotive News, Nissan, Honda and others have all reported plans for still-further increased production in the year ahead. As part of this ramp-up, Mazda will open a facility in Salamnca, Mexico before March of 2014. Part of that increase in output is 50,000 units of a Toyota-badged compact car, which Mazda will produce.
Other Mexican production facilities opening include a Honda plant, which will open in Spring 2014 in Celaya, and a Nissan plant, set to open later this year in Aguascalientes. Nissan also said that it will need another plant in North America within the next five years. According to Nissan Boss Carlos Ghosn, the company aims to raise its stake in the US market from 8 percent to 10, and adding production will help achieve that goal. Even Mitsubishi is aiming to boost production at its Normal, Illinois plant. Production of the Outlander Sport is currently at 50,000, which Mitsubishi wants to raise to 70,000.

Toyota sells off Tesla shares, too

The incredible rise of Tesla's stock price has done little to now stop two major shareholders from ditching their stake in the American EV manufacturer. First, Daimler, parent company of Mercedes-Benz, ditched its four-percent stake, and less than a week later, Toyota is doing the same thing, selling off an undisclosed bit of its Tesla investment.
The move comes as Toyota winds down sales of the RAV4 EV, which gets its batteries and electric motor from Tesla at the company's Fremont, CA factory.
"We have a good relationship with Tesla, and will evaluate the feasibility of working together on future projects," Toyota spokesperson Kayo Doi told Bloomberg via email.
