Up for auction is my 1986.5 Toyota Supra. I bought it in 1998 and built it to race on a solo, timed course on Cape Cod. I decided to register it and drive it on the street in the summers. I lost my license in 06 and it's been in the garage ever since. It's time to sell it so someone else can have fun with it.
Title says "RECOVERED THEFT, PRIOR THEFT"
 1986 Monte Carlo 305 (stock)
 !977 Malibu 350 trans. (w/ shift kit)
1988 Supra turbo rear end (390 gears)
 B&M shifter
 Oil, temp, volt gauges
 No stereo
 No speedometer
Runs and drives, great body.
It has a single exhaust w/cat. (for state inspection) but comes with duel exhaust (Flowmasters and Supertraps) And the original rear end (430 gears).
I have about 8k and a million hours into the car. I drove it every day and it never broke down but I ran out of gas a few times because the gas gauge never worked.
This car is for the enthusiast for fun, not a commuter car. If you put some horsepower to it and put in the 430 gears it will fly.
I had a lot of fun with it and will hate to see it go.
If you are seriously interested email any questions.
No reserve auction so bid to own. Thanks....Paul

2014 Toyota Corolla coming Thursday, now with LED headlamps

Tue, 04 Jun 2013

Here's what we know about the redesigned 2014 Toyota Corolla: It will have "aggressive new styling" with "available seventeen-inch alloy wheels" an "available touch screen audio" system and "available LED headlights."
We know all of this because Toyota has seen fit to release a small assortment of teaser images of the 2014 Corolla, with those descriptions attached. The latest to hit the web shows LED lighting clusters, which, to Toyota's credit, don't appear to merely mimic designs already seen in the automotive world.
We should point out that the headlights do share a link to the units seen on the Furia Concept that was supposed to foreshadow the next Corolla, though the most interesting bits - namely the honeycomb inner pattern - have been chucked while the somewhat trapezoidal main units remain intact.

Toyota FCV Concept comes one step closer to reality

Wed, 20 Nov 2013

When Toyota first conceptualized a gasoline-electric hybrid vehicle for mainstream Americans to drive, the initial response was pretty skeptical. Still, through relentless engineering and solid product after solid product, Toyota has built the Prius brand into the dominant force in the hybrid car market.
Something like that plan of attack is what the Japanese company is preparing for hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, as well, and that attack is seeing a critical salvo fired today with the debut of this FCV Concept at the Tokyo Motor Show.
Though there's nothing substantive to be said about rumors of a 300-mile range or a sticker price around $50,000, the FCV concept does offer a few technical details. The sharp-beaked concept makes use of two high-pressure hydrogen tanks and boasts a power output density of three kilowatts per liter.

Toyota GT86 engineers explored shooting brake and sedan variants, are they still in the cards?

Wed, 13 Mar 2013

According to the Toyota UK blog, engineers for the automaker were so excited developing the GT86 coupe that they investigated producing a whole family of models based on the rear-wheel drive sports car. And at least one engineer - product chief Tetsuya Tada - still hopes it can happen, even if not everyone at Toyota is onboard. Tada: "Actually we tried to do this secretly but the executives found us out. They said: 'What are you doing? Will you please focus on the coupe.'"
Those mooted variants included both a four-door sedan and a shooting brake. Why? Aside from the pure excellence of a lightweight, brilliantly handling hatchback, Toyota was keenly aware of the fact that it may need to spread the cost of development out across several models. Tada says that's part of the reason why it was so easy to create the convertible. The company knew from the outset that a softtop version was in the cards, and built the machine's structure to accommodate having the roof sliced off.
Tada also made mention of the already-announced collaboration between Toyota and BMW. The engineer said that the GT86 was particularly helpful because it demonstrated just how successful a product conceived and designed by two different companies can be. While he didn't say exactly what Toyota and BMW are up to, it's clear the two are looking into a number of possibilities. It's an interesting read with a lot of
