First of all I want to be clear that I don't know any history on this van other than it was purchased by my Aunt in 2009 with 17,800 miles in 2009. I am selling the van for the estate. It now has only 19,500 miles. The purchase price in 2009 was $47,500. I have driven the van and it performs just like new and all the handicap functions seem to work as intended. That is basically all I know about it other than the obvious. I have plenty of pictures so you can fully see what you are buying, including the wheelchairs.

The van comes completely handicap equipped with a Braun conversion with all the bells and whistles. After some checking, I found out that Braun is the top dog in handicap conversions. It is in near new condition, clean and runs great.

Along with the van you will get 2 wheelchairs, a Jazzy model that the van is designed to accept with auto docking and another much larger model wheelchair that has the stand up feature that allows the occupant to get almost vertical to get to a sink or counter. I have also ridden in both wheelchairs and the batteries are fine and they both work as intended. Just the wheelchairs alone retail for over $10k.

According to the Bill of Sale, which is also pictured, it has:

Braun Power in floor ramp conversion with power sliding doors, power rear hatch, 11" lowered floor, power kneeling system, (the fan actually lowers on the ramp side so the incline of the ramp is not so steep), 4 point manual tiedown system, EZ lock receiver, and EZ out front seats

With this van and 2 wheelchairs it could almost make a wheelchair bound person totally independent.

Toyota SEMA concepts promote active lifestyles, rallying [w/video]

Thu, 31 Oct 2013

Toyota has six vehicles that it's bringing to the Specialty
Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show next week, all of which were developed by and for people who live active lifstyles. Four of them are the result of the Toyota Dream Build Challenge, which tasked a team of athletes and vehicle customization shops to build Toyota sedans, pickup trucks and sport utility vehicles in seven weeks that would enhance performance in their respective sports.
We'll lead off with the CamRally Camry, developed by NASCAR driver Parker Kligerman, Kyle Busch Motorsports and Mooresville, NC shop Detroit Speed, Inc. for the Dream Build Challenge, because it appeals to us gearheads (sure, call us one-sided). It was totally transformed into a rally vehicle, and it has to be the most badass Camry we can remember seeing. The sedan is always a bit flaccid-looking in stock form, but the CamRally's wide body and other exterior upgrades and the turbocharger make us forget about that, as do its stripped, painted interior and Sparco race seat.

Toyota hangs on to title of world's largest automaker for first half of 2013

Fri, 26 Jul 2013

General Motors and Ford can have all the success they please, but it doesn't seem like America's two largest manufacturers are going to topple Toyota in the first half of 2013. According to Reuters, Toyota moved 4.91 million vehicles in the first six months of 2013, representing a 1.1-percent drop from the same period in 2012.
GM is on the rise, though, with a four-percent increase in global sales, to 4.85 million. Volkswagen, still sitting in third, saw a 5.5-percent jump to 4.7 million vehicles in the first half of 2013.
If this pace continues for Toyota, it'll finish 2013 in the top sales spot for the second year in a row. The manufacturer fell to third, behind GM and VW, in 2011 after earthquakes and tsunamis ravaged its production capacity.

Toyota TRD Pro Chase Trucks are ready to hit the desert at SEMA

Wed, 05 Nov 2014

Toyota marks the 35th anniversary of its Toyota Racing Development performance arm this year, and the division is celebrating at this year's SEMA Show with a quartet of tuned off-roaders based on on the 4Runner, Tacoma and Tundra that look more than ready to go just about anywhere.
All four of them will take part in this year's Baja 1000 race, but only the Tundra (far left in the above photo) is actually competing. The other three will be there to act as support vehicles.
Inspired by the production TRD Pro Series trucks, the 4Runner, Tacoma and Tundra are prepared by off-road fabricator N-Fab with a mix of TRD and the company's own parts to be able to take whatever the grueling, 1,000-mile can throw at them. The trio is fettled with extra communications equipment, GPS, additional lights and all sorts of body and suspension modifications to help them survive the ordeal.
