The history (to answer lingering questions):
This one owner vehicle has been driven only ~10k miles a year. Always serviced as scheduled. He got a new one (same car new model) just because he wanted one. Most expensive scheduled maintenance item (timing belt) has been performed as scheduled. Like every Toyota with this engine... or in general Toyota... it will continue going for years and thousands of miles if maintained according to manufacturer schedule.

Condition:
-Left side looks very good (pictures attached).
-Front bumper has scratches on the edges.
-Rear bumper has scratches on the sides, plus top edge.
Bumpers are NOT cracked nor dented. Just need to be painted.
-Right side has scratched rear fender, sliding doors and front doors. The original owner, to protect from potential corrosion, touched them up.... unfortunately he wasn't a skilled "toucher-uper" :)
-Dent on the edge of the hood and front quarter.
Interior is very clean for the year. No damages nor missing parts.

Please look at the detailed pictures and ask questions before bidding.

We have sold many cars on eBay. We do not make them pretty, just to make the sale... we do buy and make them reliable without spending money (which in the end are your money) on cosmetics... THUS SAVING YOU MONEY.
If you like our approach, don't care about looks that much (or for now, and will fix it later for less) this is the vehicle for you. In the end all cars will be scratched....
Objectively speaking... it is better than you expect... we are just very critical and don't want to mis-represent it in any way.

Mazda's new Mexican plant capacity rises to 230,000

Sat, 05 Jan 2013

After the turmoil of last year, 2013 is getting off to a much better start for Mazda. The company has issued a release indicating that the forthcoming plant in Salamanca, Mexico has had its production capacity raised even though it isn't scheduled to go online until March 2014. The original plans called for a 140,000-unit capacity, 90,000 of that allotted for the Mazda2 and Mazda3, the remaining 50,000 for a small car Mazda would build for Toyota that would be based on the Mazda2. The new plans call for raising that by 90,000 units to a total of 230,000 units within two years, by the end of March 2016, and it looks like it will all go toward Mazda production to satisfy growing demand for Skyactiv vehciles. The Mexican plant's opening will be the return of Mazda manufacturing to North America, after Mazda6 production was moved back to Japan last year.
More good news for the company is that it projects 10 billion yen ($114 million) in net income for the financial year that will end in March. That would be a welcome turnaround from the 100-billion-yen loss in the previous financial year, part of a series of three annual losses in a four-year span.
You'll find the press release with the factory update below.

Toyota gives a free RAV4 to 50-millionth customer [w/video]

Thu, 29 Aug 2013

Not surprisingly, the 50-millionth Toyota product sold in the US was a Camry, but Toyota had a big surprise in store for Michael Dee, the buyer of said milestone vehicle. Toyota group vice president Bill Fay showed up at Dee's house to not only personally thank him for the purchase, but also completely paid off that brand new Camry, presenting the owner with a clear title.
But that wasn't all. As you can tell from the image above, Fay had one more trick up his sleeve. The group VP brought along a brand new 2013 Toyota RAV4, which was also presented to Dee in appreciation. The best part is that Dee's genuine amazement was all caught on video, which is posted below.

Minivan market not what it used to be, but margins make up for it

Thu, 05 Jun 2014

Residual values for last year's minivans are higher than they were in 2000.
Much like the station wagon was the shuttle of Baby Boomer generation, the minivan has been the primary means of transport for Generations X and Y. Just as the boomers abandoned the Country Squire, though, those kids that were toted around in Grand Caravans and Windstars are adults, and they certainly don't want to be seen in the cars their parents drove.
