Selling my 1997 Landcruiser for no reserve…

Ultra custom 1997 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ80 with 172k miles.  One of the best built Cruisers for sale.  California truck rust free and super clean!

This Cruiser is built for expedition duty or for your next family camping vacation. Already equipped with a dual battery system to run additional accessories without running down the main battery.  This cruiser has all of the desirable features you would want to add on to your Cruiser.  This is a 1997 last year FJ80 Land Cruiser and one of the best colors Gray metallic with tan leather.

This car has so many off road options and accessories that are specialized for this truck and I will list the equipment below to make it easier:

OPTIONS:

*Old Man EMU lift
*Pro comp 285/75/16  off road tires on stock 16" Cruiser wheels
*Dual Battery setup to run additional off road lights/accessories (Blue Sea systems) Battery selector in engine bay.
*ARB heavy duty front bumper
*10k LB Road Shock winch 4.8HP
*HID 7" off road lamps
*Rock sliders running boards.
*Rear mounted spare tire with same size tire
*Roof basket with rear off road lamps wired.
*Offroad tools shovel, axle, and high lift jack all with lock and key
*Rear ladder for easy access to roof
*Rear built in shelf to allow for storage for equipment bins

Recently last month I decided to reupholster the front seats and they look amazing and factory new. The interior is in excellent shape and very clean. Rear seat leather in great condition.  Non smoker car and no pets. The carpets are super clean.  This cruiser rides super nice and smooth. The suspension is smooth and not bumpy or firm. Even the wife drives it sometimes.

The motor and transmission are in excellent condition. Motor is strong and not leaking any oil or consuming oil. The transmission shifts crisp and tight. No slipping or sharp bangs. Its amazing how nice this truck rides with 172k.

Only minor issues with the truck is front passenger seat does not move forward. I believe a gear is stuck and needs to be repaired. Also, the radio seems to work intermittently. Maybe a loose connection. Some paint on wheel arches is fading.  Hood release cable needs servicing.  Other than those minor items she is a fabulous truck. Passes smog with flying colors and currently registered in California until Nov 2014.

Clean title in hand. Email for more info.

Toyota's Psy-style Waku-Doki ad inherits Japan's bizarre ad crown

Tue, 29 Jul 2014

A new Japanese Toyota ad featuring crisply suited businessmen driving into the jungle only to segue into a Psy-style music-video dance-off with a gorilla and natives is the latest car commercial to go viral. Jungle Wakudoki is the newest installment in a grand tradition of bizarre ads from the island nation that are by turns hilarious, head-scratching and occasionally even frightening.
Let's face it: My people are weird.
I'm half-Japanese and take suitable pride in my Asian roots, but even I can't figure out what's been slipped into the water coolers of the country's ad agencies much of the time - or the nation at large, for that matter. From Japan's ubiquitous obsession with all things adorable (kawaii) to its offbeat sense of humor and its bizarrely perverse and violent tentacle porn, it's clear there's a lot going on in the culture, and only some of it bubbles up to the surface in its marketing efforts. Much of the strangest and most amazing ads are for non-transportation products (e.g. laundry soap, snacks, energy drinks), but the automotive space has its fair share. This latest Toyota ad had me trawling YouTube for a common theme, trying to make sense of why these spots are the way they are. Scroll down to watch the Toyota ad in question as well as a bunch of other examples of Japan's most bizarre car-related ads and see if you can't find the thread that runs between them. Is it just that something's being lost in translation? Have your say in Comments.

Toyota fills in details about its future design direction and global platform

Fri, 25 Oct 2013

"In the future, out of 100 customers, we want to excite ten of them instead of not offending all 100."
Almost all of the details about the Toyota New Group Architecture (TNGA) strategy have come out since the initiative was first reported on in March of this year, but Autoblog did learn a few new things about it on a recent trip to Japan. Probably the second-most important detail is that each new segment platform will be based around a common hip point to create an "optimal driving position architecture."

Toyota reports huge quarterly profit increase, raises forecast for the year

Sun, 04 Aug 2013

Toyota isn't just the world's largest automaker - so far its the biggest winner for quarterly profits. With an enormous $5.5 billion take during Q2, Toyota took advantage of the weak Japanese yen and strong US demand to record a 94-percent improvement in profit over the same period from last year. So far, Toyota brought in larger profits than Ford and General Motors combined.
Toyota is showing no signs of slowing down either, as it has bumped up its forecast for full-year global production, going from 9.94 million to 10.12 million vehicles, on the back of a 13-percent drop in the buying power of the Japanese yen versus the US dollar. That strong exchange rate is largely responsible for Toyota's big jump in profits, although it also managed to shift 1.3 million vehicles in the US market this year. Strong Camry sales have also helped. But while Toyota is raking in the cash, it actually saw a small drop in market share, down 0.1 percent to 14.3 percent of the US market.
As is the case with most automakers, Toyota seems flummoxed by Europe, where it recorded less than one percent of its revenue. Still, as Automotive News points out, Toyota only maintains a 4.5-percent market share in Europe and is far less dependent on the continent than other manufacturers. Toyota also struggled at home, much like Honda. With 525,777 units sold, JDM sales were down almost 51,000 units, although Toyota still saw its operating profit jump from $3.5 billion to $4.6 billion.
